    Fargo Season 3.

    I'm a bit disappointed so far. It's still a good show, but seasons 1 and 2 were so incredibly good, season 3 feels like it lags behind quite a bit in intensity and characters especially

    I am yet to start S3 of Fargo.

    Finished S2 of Into the Badlands, liked the introduction of Nick Frost for a bit of comedy.

    Still a decent watch, good fun, plenty of clichéd type things thrown in, but it is what it is.

    Strike Back. You bunch of fluffy bunnies. It is a pile of steaming shite. Ridiculous plots, cardboard cut-out characters and non-sensical storyline that has no point. And just because of you three I've invested several hours of my life binge-watching a series of this and I'm just as likely to do it again with another series. You utter bastards.

    Frontier on Netflix

    Fast paced in the story, quite good overall. No real depth to each character yet but I'm looking forward to Season 2.

    @Catogrande it's superb isn't it? Hot chicks , fight scenes and people of a variety of ethnicities getting shot in the head.
    And that's just the credits , the actual show is genius.

    Watching strikeback now, 5 minutes in two Russians have been shot in the head another got hit in the chest , one was burned to death and the other was killed with an iron bar through his skull. A hot blonde with a Russian accent who swears a lot was involved in half of the deaths.

    We live in a golden age of television

    She wasn't at the end of the show when one of the main characters was licking vodka off her body while she said " fuck me" in Russian and English.

    Iron Fist - watched this one pretty much straight through. It wasn't bad. A little rough around the edges, and some of the character development was a little stilted. Wenham was good.

    Jessica Jones - finally got around to finishing this after I got bored halfway through. Appreciated it more for the break.

    Though it amazes me that these fuckers came to the obvious choice i.e. fucking kill David Tennant so very late.

    I'm looking forward to American Gods, based on the Neil Gaiman novel, which is one of my favourite fantasy novels. I hope they don't screw it up, the trailer is awesomely gory but the lead is some dude who used to be in Hollyoaks :(. They've cast Ian McShane as Mr Wednesday though, so hopefully we should get Al Swearingen with a big hammer. Out on Amazon Prime on 1st May.

    Have you been watching this, getting decent reviews but been holding off.

    @taniwharugby I've started watching it, but hasn't grabbed me after the first episode - I just really don't get it. Didn't read the novel though...

    Yeah, Ep 6 just finished. I'll say it's very faithful to the book, which is both good and bad. The good is obvious if you're a fan of the book, the bad is that the pace is slow a lot of the time. One thing I took out of it is what would GoT TV version actually have been like if it had been exactly the same as the book? And the answer is that they have show-writers for a reason!

    Having said that if you can kick back into the pace of the thing it is really well filmed and with some truly disturbing content.

    :::

    Some pretty graphic male-on-male action in one episode. Much full frontal nudity, male and female. The dead wife who comes back is grotesque, with her arm fallen-off arm, autopsy wounds and toilet stops to void elbalming fluid.

    :::

    It won't be everybody's cup of tea by a long chalk but if you're a Neil Gaiman fan it's great

    @taniwharugby From someone who has never watched a single episode of Shortland St, she's not a great actor. But I understand that she was perfectly casted based on the character in the book. If anything, Bobbie wasn't tall or muscular enough.

    @Bovidae I dont watch SS either, but know she was from that..fair enough if she is true to the book, I just didnt feel she was very good...guess it'd be good to see her in another role to see if she is any better or just the same.

    Yeah given what her character was supposed to be in terms of a 'warrior soldier' type, she didnt sell it to me.

    @taniwharugby Yeah, her acting was pretty rough. Kind of one note, with that note being petulance. Also, her fight scene in the last episode was horrendous.
