@Rancid-Schnitzel I'm wary of the next book. The last one was pretty fucking ordinary, and the TV shows have sort of picked up the story and run with it now. After a long delay, i can feel a disappointment coming on.
The last one was all over the place because it got too long and heaps had to be cut out. He was also heavily involved with GoT at the time, which must have had an impact. Clearly this time, he refuses to be rushed and I'm expecting (perhaps optimistically) a cracker of a book.

He's nowhere near as involved with the show anymore either.
Previously he co-wrote a lot of episodes, last season tho he didn't do any writing at all. -

Sometimes we just have to cling on to something. The books haven't let me down.....yet.
