    TR, if you want to get through until April you'll need more than just series 1. I'm doing about an Ep a day at the moment. It's that good.

    oh I am sure I'll get through a bit more than 1 series, and my point about a lean period Nepia, is that the next good series that is due out, is Game of Thrones, therefore I am looking for stuff to watch between now and then, is nothing to do with the quality of either show!

    All good, but I think my analogy still stands! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Although for me Game of Thrones is probably the NPC rather than SupeRugby (to anyone thinking I'm putting down Game of Thrones you're 100% incorrect, I'm putting down SupeRugby.

    I should damn well hope so, for me, Super Rugby is like Shortland Street...you watch it cos it happens to be on TV while you are sitting in the lounge, and then you pretend you dont <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
    <br />
    For me, GOT and Breaking Bad are the pinnacle at present.

    Just watched that one the other day. Brilliant acting to be able to portray how in tune they were with each others thinking while only saying 'fuck'. You could insert your own script in your head.

    Just realised that the second series of the BBCs "Sherlock" has shown in the UK. Off to find it now, the first series was excellent.

    Sherlock Series 2 is excellent. The suprise factor of the character has gone and the 'style' to try and show thought processes is a bit overdone but compared to most shite on TV it is good watching.

    Am up to the last episode of season 1 of The Wire and it's so fu*ken good. I can't believe it's taken me this long to watch it. Already got season 2 on DVD ready to go. It's cheap as to buy. $21 from most places.<br />
    <br />
    Did it actually play on TV in NZ?

    Yep. 11pm on a Wednesday or something like that. I remember watching it one night and thinking WTF is this shit - how wrong I was. Same with Firefly, watched an episode of that and thought WTF? They are two of my favourite shows. <br />
    <br />
    Let us know what you think of series 2.

    Walking dead series 2 resumed from it's mid season hiatus. Awesome show and currently the most popular thing on TV by a country mile right now based on downloads. I checked a few places out of curiosity and everywhere - it's like comparing cricket numbers to Don Bradman. It pretty crazy to to see just how popular this show is.<br />
    <br />
    Breaking bad - wow, have seen seasons 1 and 2 in the past couple of weeks and catching up on season 3. watching with the wife, she's as hooked as me! (never saw that coming considering how brutal that show can be)

    After the TelstraClear unlimited weekend about 2 months ago, I download about 60gb.<br />
    Combined with a mate telling me I can use my PS2 as a wireless media centre to me telly ....... I'm now sorted<br />
    <br />
    I've never been one for watching TV series downloads before, apart from recordings on the PVR - so I'm probably not going to add much new stuff to this thread as I catch up on classic series I could never be arsed committing myself to in the past.<br />
    <br />
    Done so far;<br />
    Battlestar Galactica season1<br />
    Generation Kill (awesome)<br />
    Deadwood (now partway through season 2)<br />
    Mad Men (with the missus)<br />
    Tinker Tailor, Soldier, Spy - the BBC series from the 70s with Alec Guinness<br />
    <br />
    and some comedy, ...Community (awesome)<br />
    <br />
    I've now got a about a year worth of series still backed up. I need more sleep.<br />
    <br />
    Watched Homeland on TV3 last night, it was good.

    Watched the first episode of season two of The Walking Dead - wow. The show builds tension really well and the episode concluded with a bang. We're watching the show through on demand when the sun is still up so that the missus can sleep. <br />
    <br />
    Have also started on Star Gate Universe. Haven't watched any of the two previous shows (Star Gate, Star Gate: Atlantis) but this series was recommended to us and I'm a fan of Robert Carlyle so thought we'd give it a look. Ten episodes in and it's pretty good so far. The basic story is that during an attack a group of seventy-odd military and civillian personell gate out to an unknown destination which turns out to be a dilapidated alien ship on the edge of the universe. Tension between the military and civillians begins immediately with different people vying for control - Robert Carlyle chews scenery. Owes a lot to Battlestar Gallactica in the the way the tensions have been set up.<br />

    Also watching Community which is awesome.

    I've just started S6 of Dexter, obviously some very mixed reviews about it, so going in with low expectations...<br />
    <br />
    I only by accident noticed Walking Dead restarting last week, and thought it started well.

    I've caught up on all the Community produced to date. The second series I found better than the first, and the episodes in series three so far have been great.<br />
    <br />
    Fingers crossed for 6 seasons and a movie!<br />

    I finished with S6 of Dexter, and I didnt think it was that bad, certainly not what some reviews had given it, was a little different to other series, but I thought it was alright.<br />
    <br />
    Next up, The Wire.

    I'm 2/3rds of the way through season 2 of The Wire now. It's pretty intriguing stuff, funny looking at the "technology" they had back then though. McNulty is my hero.
