I'm obviously at odds to the rest of the world because I thought Christian Bale was a boring, personality-less emo. I know the whole Batman thing is the blurred line between good and bad but I like to be able to invest a degree of support for a character and I found him to be a jerk.

It would be a hallucination if I saw it but this is the first time I've heard of it and the movie geeks who made that list chucked in all sorts of obscure films and somehow missed that.

If you saw it was it any good?

Had a look to see if some movie buff had ranked the Batmans ( batmen?) and found this , not surprising ly the Kilmer and Clooney atrocities rank near the bottom. I thought Keaton was good in the one with Nicholson but unfortunately West never made a film , I loved the way he played it straight like Leslie Neilson in naked gun and Airplane.

It was fucking awesome. If memory serves, it's where the bomb gif meme comes from and the shark repellent spray gets deployed as he hangs from a helicopter ladder.

@MN5 will not be happy with the ranking of the Keaton Batman's. Interesting to see Batman V Superman's movie rating despite the fact Batman was the best thing in what was originally a Superman movie. Edit: It's ranking was deserved.

@Nepia the link is court judgement about a feral that claimed $120000 in benefits she wasn't entitled to and was ordered to pay it back at $20 a week and is using legal aid to fight having to pay it. Putting aside the wtf factor you have to be a bit awestruck by the amount of hide you'd have to have to try that.

@Nepia I was going to post it at smoko but couldn't figure out which thread it belonged in. We need a dedicated feral watch thread.

A Bale one is on top although that particular one making it there owes alot to Heath Ledger dying. Great publicity.

It's a great find wherever it's put. Why didn't her solicitors ever say "no mate you're on a hiding to nothing. Give it a rest and take your medicine"? Oh yeah, legal aid. Gotcha.

That is so good. To think we all thought Jaws was the first time a shark exploded on screen. We're so naive.

This vid has jogged my memory. I remember watching this with my Grandad ( he would be 95 if he was still with us ) and both of us cracking up at the ridiculousness of it all. Egghead is my favourite villain, probably due to all the horrific puns.

It's nothing but 'Dad' ( or Grandad ) humour to an absolute tee but it's done so well whereas other stuff falls flat and is absolute shit. Such a fine line but they nail it with aplomb.

Kudos to West, the other actors and the writers for some top quality entertainment.

Somedays you just can't get rid of a bomb.

Gonna have to find the whole movie, TR Jnr will love it too!

I was at a gig last night and halfway through a song the band morphed it into the Batman theme as homage. Went down well with the crowd.
