I finished with S6 of Dexter, and I didnt think it was that bad, certainly not what some reviews had given it, was a little different to other series, but I thought it was alright.

Next up, The Wire.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through season 2 of The Wire now. It's pretty intriguing stuff, funny looking at the "technology" they had back then though. McNulty is my hero.
I've caught up on all the Community produced to date. The second series I found better than the first, and the episodes in series three so far have been great.
Community is back on the air soon in the US! But doubt it will get another season - which could be a good thing.

I tried to rank my top 5 - 10 episodes and they go something like this:
1. Alternate timelines S3. (Remedial Chaos Theory)
2. Paintball S1. (Modern Warfare)
3. Goodfellas (Chicken fingers) S1.
4. The thinking back episode. S2
5. Paintball S2 (both Eps).
6. Halloween S2.
7. Christmas (the one with the bully and the early Xmas) S1.
8. Troys birthday S2.
9. Apollo 11/KFC van S2.
10. Trampoline/Abed being a mean girl S2.

Sorry I don't know the real names and am too lazy to look them up at the moment.
You will notice I don't have many S3 episodes - I think it's a great season overall but just not with stand out episodes.

Finished season 2 of The Wire and thought it was good but I didn't quite get in to it as much as the 1st season. Have watched the 1st episode of season 3 and really like where it's headed.

I agree that Remedial Chaos theory is the best episode so far.

The other episodes I would add to your list (knocking out the S1 Christmas and Troys birthday) would be:

Consipracy Theories and Interior design (the one with Jeffs made up class run by Professor Professorson, and Abed and Troys blanket fort)
Advanced Dungeon and Dragons - the origin of Fat Neils nickname, and Pierce getting to be really evil.

I love how Pierce has been getting progressively more evil and unlikeable - he is my favourite character now - overtook Abed.

Edit - and props to them for doing that flashback episode with all newly filmed material

Nope, I didn't forget it, it's not one of my highly rated episodes. I'm not a huge Jeff fan so tend not to favour the episodes with a large focus on him. The Abed stuff in it was pretty cool although white Abed freaks me out. What's your top 10?

Edit: Stockcar: See above re Jeff for why Conspiracy Theories missed out. The blanket fort was great.

Also, I think that Jeff is an integral part of the show I just don't think stuff that focuses on him too much is as funny.

Toddy: Looks like you're one of the people who prefer the show to stay within its main community. I really liked S2 and found the setting really interesting despite the fact I hated Ziggy.

It's been years since I watched The Wire (maybe this summer I need to revisit it). But my favorite seasons in order were the first, and the fourth. Season 2 could never live up to season 1, and the intermingling of the docks story with the drug stories always left me wanting more of the drug side. Probably because of the familiarity of all the characters from season 1 and wanting to see more of goings on there. I just didn't care as much about the plight of the working class in the US. Season 3 was great, cause it went back to the Barksdale organization again. And my boy Omar. One of the best characters on tv in the last decade.

It's been a few months since I have done one of these what I am watching posts. So an update is probably due. What I am currently watching and enjoying:

Comedy wise, I still think Community is the funniest show on television. I am also enjoying the third season of Parks and Recreation which just started a few weeks back. Modern Family and 30 Rock rank behind them, but still good for a watch.

Drama wise, my favorite show on right now is Southland, which just started it's 3rd season on TNT in January. I think it is the most realistic cop show on TV right now. Gripping at times. Also enjoying season two of Justified which just started last week. Timothy Olyphant is excelent as Elmore Leonard's Marshal Raylan Givens. Based on the first episode, season two is going to be a cracker. I am also really enjoying the US version of Shameless. I have never watched the Brit original, and am intentionally staying away as to not ruin the US version for me. But I love the concept, the cast, and the stories so far (which I believe have been very true to the original). I will catch the UK version once the USA version season one finishes airing.
So it's one year later. And I am pretty much watching the exact same stuff. Loving Southland, Justified, Shameless, Parks and Rec, and can't wait for Community.

Walking Dead, getting a little bored with the lack of movement. One show that has moved up the ranks is the sitcom Happy Endings. I was pretty meh about it for the first few episodes in season 1. But it certainly has come along as the characters have become established. But it probably will get canceled at the end of this year. Speaking of axed, if anyone is looking for a quick hit laugh out loud prematurely canceled gem, grab both short seasons of Better Off Ted.

I am not really watching many of the new shows. Well, I did get sucked into the prime time soap Revenge. And am enjoying New Girl. I also caught up with Person of Interest over the holidays, and am enjoying it, despite them ruining having the woman cop on Reece's tail. But every other show I sampled got axed. I do still have to watch the VOD pilot of Awake this weekend, been hearing good thing.

I think I'm watching the same shows still as well - although I've only recently started Justified and I'm leaving the new Southland for a while.

I like Happy Endings as well, it started out 50/50 but seemed to get better and better. I don't mind New Girl, Zooey Deschanel can get really annoying but as long as that flippin hot Indian chick is on I will still watch it.

I'm still watching the USA Network light entertainment shows as well. I also started watching House of Lies the other day, it could be about 1 million times better but it's ok, Don Cheadle is generally good, Kristin Bell is good, and the ex wife is hot. There we go, I watch the New Girl and House of Lies just for hot chicks ....

Really liking this series of Justified.

Started The Wire also, man it looks dated, but so far so good....

As TR Jnr is dinosaur mad, we watched the series premier of Terra Nova last night, looks like it will be watchable, although I expect it wil be the special effects that will be what keeps it going (most expensive TV series ever apparently)

New Girl? Really? You blokes are normally bang on with the TV, but this one i struggle with. The first episode was amusing-ish, but then it got annoying, and i think i have laughed 3-4 times over the rest of the season. It is the filler between "Modern Family" and "Homeland" on a Sunday.

Mrs Mariner is into "Revenge" but it just seems to be "Gossip Girl" with dead people.

My guilty pleasure is "My Kitchen Rules", i can't get enough of watching people fail in the kitchen, and then have other people be bitchy about it.
