New Girl? Really? You blokes are normally bang on with the TV, but this one i struggle with. The first episode was amusing-ish, but then it got annoying, and i think i have laughed 3-4 times over the rest of the season. It is the filler between "Modern Family" and "Homeland" on a Sunday.<br />

Mrs Mariner is into "Revenge" but it just seems to be "Gossip Girl" with dead people.<br />

My guilty pleasure is "My Kitchen Rules", i can't get enough of watching people fail in the kitchen, and then have other people be bitchy about it. -

The Indian chick in it is the primary reason i watch .... If she wasn't in it I doubt I'd watch it at all though.<br />

Plus you can't start questioning peoples taste in TV and then end by talking up 'My Kitchen Rules'!<br />

I don't find any of the Gossip Girl chicks that hot TBF (crap, just admitted I have watched an episode <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />), definitely not as hot as that Indian chick on New Girl or Sarah Shahi (yes I watch her shitty show too).<br />

I think I've been quite open on here about the fact I'll watch anything if I like it - hence I watch all the light USA Network shows. -

The 2nd season will make more sense in context once you've seen the entire series. This isn't a spoiler, but the star of the show is the city itself, Baltimore, and that will play out. -
The only tv I've seen the past several months has been the HBO series' "Boardwalk Empire" and "Luck," and both are excellent.

Finished Dexter Season Six. Really enjoyed it. Would put it right up there in my fave seasons. Happy that, as well the individual stories within the season, theyâ€
ve moved Dexterâ€s arc forward. I hope that they wind it up in the next couple of seasons because, as much as I enjoy the series, it strains credulity that, regardless of his code, training and access to Miami Metro Homicide Department, Dexter could remain undetected indefinitely especially in light of his unraveling.<br />

They set things up well for next season.<br />

Watched the Terra Nova movie-length premiere and thought that it was pretty fun. Jurassic Park meets Lost. Was disappointed to see that Fox havenâ€t confirmed whether the show will come back for a second season despite stating that it the show made a profit. Hopefully this isnâ€t some tactic to see if they can create yet another “Save Show X†campaign. -

I guess I the fact it is in 14:9 format, they were using typewriters and twink just gave the dated feel? Obviously new series set back then still seem to have the right feel, but just something about it made it seem old?? Not that it impacts from the storylines. -

I've been rewatching Sportsnight and it feels dated as well - although is nearly 15 years old. -
dunno, I guess they did have to use typewriters and twink (although I think they were discussing getting the internet) but it just felt old....

Due to poor health I've been signed off work for a week so would need some tv series distraction basically I'm looking for something along the calibre of Sopranoes/Band of Brothers/Breaking Bad/The Wire/Boardwalk Empire/Homeland/Walking Dead/Game of Thrones. I've asked friends on facebook and have been recommened all levels of rubbish so hopefully if you're a big fan of the above you might be able to recommend something along the same wavelength. Oh and before anyone suggests it I found Sons Of Anarchy too cheesy and Spartacus just dumb, I also got as far as season 4 of dextor before losing interest . I'll be checking through this thread anyway but any recommendations will be greatly received. -
