I now officially reckon Hell on Wheels is worth watching. Once I hit about ep6 I watched the rest in quick time.
Now I can't wait for Series 2.
It took a little while to find its feet IMO but once it did it was very good. Some beautiful scenery along with the story too.

Ok, people so I've just about finished the latest series of Justified and I want to watch a new series. I have three series that are considered classics and I've watched two episodes of each and then stopped - for some reason I couldn't get into them but I'm now going to give one an entire series watch. I can't decide which one to watch so thought I would throw it over to the collective wisdom of the Fern.

So in alphabetical order the series are:
Breaking Bad
Deadwood
Mad Men

So which one do you think I should watch next?

    You should watch Sleeper Cell.

You'd probably like Deadwood the most out of those 3.

Shit people, there's three options there, pick one of those, please! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Yep, mariner fully update on GG (is that how the cool kids say it?).

Deadwood ahead 1 - 0 at the moment.

Tim: Yep, I will watch Sleeper Cell at some stage.

I haven't seen Deadwood yet but I really enjoyed Hell on Wheels once it got established and there are a lot of reviews out there that compare the two saying HoW is stool to attain the heights of Deadwood.
If that doesn't help then stick with Revenge (my guilty pleasure)

Breaking Bad is up there easily with generation kill as best series for me. Really liking Friday night lights at the moment, flying through it.

I vote for Breaking Bad. I thought the first season was fairly average. Second season is pretty good and seasons 3 and 4 are awesome.

Cheers guys, I'll keep the thread running until I finally finish Justified (2 episodes to go) and then I'll tally up!

Tim, I haven't seen Breaking Bad S2 yet but if it's the best television ever, i.e. better than The Wire, then I'm looking forward to it, I just need to try and get past two episodes though!

I've seen Mad Men and Deadwood. Really enjoyed them both. Took me awhile to warm up to Mad Men, but now I wouldn't miss it. I haven't seen Breaking Bad. I am saving it for when all the shows I watch end so I can do a major visual hit and enjoy it.

*Deadwood is the reason I watched Sons of Anarchy and Justified.

Did you watch Kings, Jury? Ian McShane was entertaining in that too.

No. I haven't seen that one, Tim. Will put it on my watchlist.

I've been watching some crap lately - something about sharing the TV and all. When I want to chase them away, I put the motorsport channel on now. Works wonders in clearing a room.

go for Glee...one of my mates who we taunt endlessly about it reckons it is great!!

Breaking Bad is up there as one of the best things on TV for me, Deadwood S1 & 2 are great, S3 is ok, plenty of familiar faces in it as well. McShane is brilliant!
