@Mokey @canefan Nope, still don't see it.
But he was good in Wonder Woman.
Free Fire: Gun deal in a warehouse in Boston - goes pear shaped because everyone involved is a dick. Good cast of not too big names - Armie Hammer who is hilarious, Brie Larson who is hot, the Saffa dude from District 9, Cillian Murphy, Sam Riley, Jack Reynor and a few others. Ending was a bit predictable but that doesn't detract from it. It's basically a 90 minute shoot out.

Really , we need some rules in this place. If a woman gets two or more mentions as having all the attributes to appeal to superficial people such as ourselves a photo needs to posted.

I'm just going to bring everybody back to 'point'...

Baywatch
Stupid and unfunny. The first half was kind of campy wink wink fun, but then it does a major tonal shift and starts getting into murder and explosions and doesn't know what the fuck it is trying to be. In the second half you get these occasional frat boy moments, but in the midst of all the serious shit going on around, it just doesn't work. The Hasselhoff and Anderson cameos were blink and you miss, written in with the subtlety of a sledgehammer and completely pointless. Waste of the Rock and Efron, and some quite nice cleavage.

Two best films directed by New Zealanders:
No Way Out
Under Siege 2Completely agree about No Way Out. That is a really great thriller. Also love Roger Donaldson for Cocktail and Thirteen Days and Species (c'mon, Natasha Henstridge was SO HOT). But I must respectfully add Taika Waititi for What We Do In The Shadows and Hunt For The Wilderpeople. Will be interesting to see what he does with Thor.

I've always been a huge fan of No Way Out. I've watched that movie heaps of times.
Of Roger Donaldson's recent movies, I enjoyed The November Man.
@Tim At least you didn't say Cocktail.
Casino Royale (Martin Campbell) would be near the top for any NZ director.

Lost City of Z. Epic and long. Not for everyone but I enjoyed it.
I finished watching this last night and it is excellent. The casting is superb. The cinematography is brilliant.
