Jaysus, the Cowboys are losing key players left, right and centre. Leading the Panthers 10-6 and now Michael Morgan just got knocked out and is undergoing a concussion test. Justin O'Neill is also out of the game with a broken/dislocated arm.

Looks like injuries are FINALLY taking their toll on the North Queensland Cowboys. Panthers win 24-16 and Nathan Cleary looks to be the next Jonathan Thurston.

If we give Ivan his long term deal Nathan is playing for us

Looks like Eric Watson is selling the club to Jim Doyle and player-agent Peter Brown.

@Sneakdefreak Jim Doyle in full control. That would be a good thing wouldn't it?

    Nothing to lose either!

Wonder if Jim is keen to make some big changes but Watson has been reluctant?

We just need someone to sack up and revamp the roster in a big way.

@Paekakboyz It means John Ackland could come back into the fold as a scout/recruitment guy. The club hasn't really discovered or developed much young talent since Ackland left.

@Godder Benji, Josh Reynolds and Luke Brooks to battle it out for the halves positions.

Score starting to blow out in the Warriors/Raiders game (as expected) although the baby Warriors have been making a go of it.

    Raiders win 36-16.

    Some thoughts:

    • Turns out the new owner is some bloke called Paul Davys. I know very little about him but will be interesting to see how this unfolds i.e will Davys business partner Peter Brown be involved, who is also the agent for Shaun Johnson.
    • Ata Hingano was the best player in this loss, was always trying to make something out of nothing and defending well.
    • But I don't think Hingano works well with SJ as they are similar players.
    • Nathaniel Roache also played well - I feel Luke is on the outer. Monty Betham said pre-match how it was Luke's training/preparation that saw him relegated to the bench.
    • Raiders are massive. Steroids are an amazing thing.

@canefan Oh sheet, I know this guy!

He was head coach of Te Atatu Roosters back around 2011 but ended up having a falling out with the chairman and the club lost several of its players (mainly to Glenora).

All of a sudden I'm not that confident in this new ownership.

@canefan I'd wait four more years if it meant the Warriors subsequently went back to back. I'd even jump on the band wagon then.
