Saw the Bourne Legacy. Horribly miscast, a bit boring, retread of elements from the original three and it wasn't for Rachel Wiesz it would have been completely unwatchable.

The money was up on the screen I guess, it did look nice. Dumb story too.

Probably a few months late, but I watched The Avengers and really enjoyed it. Surprised by how powerful they made the Hulk. I thought he was going to be a bit crap, but I htought h was the coolest by the end.

Loved it when he sideways punched Thor near the end.

That was brilliantly timed, wasn't it!

Is it still on at the Movies in Tauranga?

It's the first movie that's done the Hulk right. The fear from the other Avengers of him losing it was perfect.

    Watched the Avengers last night.

Loved the hulk. Especially the "puny god" bit. Thor "he's adopted" bit was also very funny. This movie didn't take it's self at all seriously and that worked really well.

Captain America is probably the most boring character and that was a follow on from a not bad but still kind of boring character introduction film last year.

Hawkeye was probably my next favourite.

Loki was a great villain too.

Also watched Battleship

Not great but loud, action packed pop corn movie. More right with it than wrong. Just don't compare it to the game.

Farking funny movie - random characters, fart and swearing jokes, Seth McFarlane funny as ever.
Either your immature or your not when it comes to comedy. I'm very immature, and thus a big fan!

Yeah I got bitch slapped at work for that as well. In my defense I was watching from the kitchen while cooking for guests. My kids loved it and what I saw looked good.

I assume you have to watch the unedited version? I have seen trailers that seem to have been heavily adjusted for the prudish market.

I saw a brief making of clip for that film. They were filming a scene in which they rival national navies were playing a soccer tournament. But this was no ordinary soccer tournament, it was hard core fighting soccer in which only the toughest prevailed. That was enough to convince me to never watch that film.

Madagaskar 3: Hopefully the last. Jumped the shark/nuked the fridge in a big way.

Headhunters: Not bad for a Norwegian flick but that hiding in the outdoor shitter scene was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen.

This is a real movie from 1987.
THE LOST '80s MASTERPIECE OF TAEKWONDO ANTI-SANITY RETURNS TO THEATERS THIS NOV
Tickets and theater listings here: http://bit.ly/RUdrOr

The year is 1987. Motorcycle ninjas tighten their grip on Florida's narcotics trade, viciously annihilating anyone who dares move in on their turf. Multi-national martial arts rock band Dragon Sound have had enough, and embark on a roundhouse wreck-wave of crime-crushing justice. When not chasing beach bunnies or performing their hit song "Against the Ninja," Mark (kung-fu master/inspirational speaker Y.K. Kim) and the boys are kicking and chopping at the drug world's smelliest underbelly. It'll take every ounce of their blood and courage, but Dragon Sound can't stop until they've completely destroyed the dealers, the drunk bikers, the kill-crazy ninjas, the middle-aged thugs, the "stupid cocaine"...and the entire MIAMI CONNECTION!!![/quote]

Wow, I haven't seen a band playing Simmons drums in yonks! They are a true 80s outfit though, there is no Steinberger Bass.

Really enjoyed this (I am a huge fan of Paul Schrader though). Interesting and engaging atmosphere, superb cinematography, art direction, and sound. The central plot is of course ridiculous, but an interesting and "fun" film was made regardless. A hint of mystical giallo to it, but none of the gaping plot holes. The editing was a little jarring at times, but the mood carried it through this. There's some good gore FX, but it's pretty restrained by today's standards. A 21 yo Nastassja Kinski looked just the part, especially when naked and killing a rabbit. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I should add that this was a 720p rip from the HD-DVD release. It looked wonderful.
Watched The Cabin in the Woods last night, seems your usual teen slasher bore fest until u see guys in an office type set up manipulating the teens throughout the film. Can't say much else without giving it away but thoroughly enjoyable watch especially the last 20 mins or so when it all turns to shit some great moments of gore and laughs too
