I've had $8 movie tickets for the past month now so have seen a bunch of movies. From most recent:

The Hitman's Bodyguard: Fun movie, I don't love on it as much as TR but it entertained and that's all that matters. 3.4 of Jules out of 5 Deadpools.

Girls Trip: I got free tickets to this otherwise I likely wouldn't have bothered to go and see it (one of the stars Jada Pinket Smith came and spoke for about 2 minutes before the movie). This is a definite movie that appeals more to women than men. It wasn't a bad movie, watchable, but all the women in the cinema found it completely hilarious, and I mean completely, laugh out loud knee slapping funny.

American Made: Tom Cruise is a pilot who gets involved with the CIA, Pablo Escobar, the Sandistas, Noriega etc etc. Another really fun movie, directed by Doug Liman (Swinger, Edge of Tomorrow) and Cruise is on top form. 4 kilos of cocaine out of 5 crates of AKs.

The Dark Tower: Not as shit as everyone makes out. Idris, McConaghy and a kid that isn't too annoying. Lagertha also pops up as well. It helps that I know nothing about the series and avoid reviews until after seeing a movie. 3 Kings out of 5 sequels.

Logan Lucky: Soderbergh is back, the liar, another good fun movie. Riley Keough is quite attractive. Is being called a hillbilly Oceans movie which is both an apt comparison and unfair as it stands on its own two feet. 4 tubby Channings out of 5 one armed Kylo Rens.

The Big Sick: Romantic comedy about a lapsed Muslim comedian and his new girlfriend who promptly falls into a coma. Meanwhile his mother is trying to marry him off to bunch of other mostly attractive women - unsurprisingly it's written by the main actor and it is in fact based on his actual life. 3.5 Ubers out 5.

Atomic Blonde: Female John Wick set in the late 80s with more of a story line (not any more coherent but who cares). Lots of fights, lots of Charlize which I assume lots of people would like here and young Professor X hamming it up like crazy to good effect. Fun. 70 bricks from the Berlin wall out of 100 Double, triple and quadruple crosses.

Has anyone watched the Goon sequel?

    Yes.
Not quite as funny as the original but certainly has its moments.
    Watch.

That's actually a golfing term for a bad shot that still sort of works out. Based on "I know I shouldn't really be up here but it still feels good."

I legitimately thought that was just a list of dirty golfing terms, until @Crucial 's comment.

    "Crosses, flags . . . arches."

THE FOUNDER (2016) starring Michael Keaton. Superb script by Robert Seigel. Really well done.

    Hateful Eight. (spoiler)

Neat idea and twisty bits, looks great, but wft was with the stilted dialogue, Samuel Jackson was a yes but the rest were just written in with high school theatre bollox leadenness

Then Zoe Something of Niew Zllnd pops in with her Niew Zllnd accent to recoil you RIGHT THE FUCK out of the goddamn narrative HI IM ZOE FROM NEW ZLLND, AUCKLAND NIEW ZLLND, ITS OUr BIGGEST CITY DON’T YOU KNOW, NEVER MIND HOW I ENDED UP IN 1870’S WYOMING USA FROM AUCKLAND NEW ZLLND, THAT’S NOT APPARENT BLAM shot in the heart and not a moment too soon

Yeah why the fuck does Tentin Quarantino insist on putting her in his flicks?!?! Absolutely ridiculous.

Baby Driver - enjoyed this, although the choice of getaway cars in a couple of the heists was odd.

Eiza Gonzalez is H.A.F, first spotted her in the Dusk to Dawn series...Lily James is fine too

4 driving songs out of 5 unecessary drifts around corners

Sad to say, my first thought is that this is probably going to be bad.

Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger Are Returning for the New Terminator Film

Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both returning for the sixth Terminator film. James Cameron, who made the first two films, is producing, with

Apparently it'll be third film completing a "trilogy" which ended after T2. James Cameron is producing, so maybe there's still hope.

At least Arnold is not playing a Terminator this time.
