SBW has had a bloody good game so far. Very strong and direct taking it up.
Interesting isn't it. He has only done the one off load and that was after in contact versus his normal offload every time. SBW being prepared to take contact has meant BB has been able to loop around more and looking to be the overlap I think.

Hames seemed very, very nervoua at the start, look at the first scrum-setup. Missed a few tackles and conceded some penalties, not good, but he can only get better (or be replaced). Springboks unlucky to be that far behind. They're not playing well, but not 30 points worse. Maybe 10 or 15 points.

If you call let the Boks cleaners dive all over the rucks, then he's been excellent, as they have been doing it just about every second breakdown -
The attacking run metres on Raymond rhule will be impressive. Every time ball went his way nz made yards. Hansen will be well pleased.

@Tordah those first few scrums were the Boks trying it on with illegal tactic and getting away with it. When Owens on that side it stopped. The cleanout around the neck was unlucky but correct. Give Hames a chance let's see how it goes for him in second.

There's a few good loosehead props around (two from Canterbury, one from Taranaki) that aren't the most penalised players in Super Rugby.
He's massively out of his depth.
