Have we ever down troued the Boks before? Beating them to nil has a nice ring to it.

A quick search reveals that it has happened at least three times before

            1921 00 - 00 @ Athletic Park
            1965 13 - 00 @ Carisbrook
            1999 28 - 00 @ Carisbrook

They have got us back three times as well
            1921 00 - 00 in Wellington
            1928 00 - 17 in Durban
            1960 00 - 13 in Johannesburg

We are still on track to beat the highest winning margin at home of 33 (40 - 07 in Wellington) and the highest winning margin of 42 (57 - 15 last year in Durban)

Sam Cane has been the best player on the park to me Justin, but I'll admit that Smith has been good.

OTA made a good tackle and followed it up with a dumb penalty. (off his feet)

                          NMS looked decidedly slow there.

The intercept was piss poor. Surely an international winger should score with a buffer like that.

@Chris-B. Yep, that Ta$man player is the only other option.

There's a few good loosehead props around (two from Canterbury, one from Taranaki) that aren't the most penalised players in Super Rugby.

He's massively out of his depth.

Bollocks - the next cab off the rank is Tim Perry - another Ta$man player who barely played Super rugby!

Be careful what you wish for!!!

Probably the most penalised front rower in Intl rugby is Wyatt Crockett who if I remember has had to be pulled where Italian prop was boring in.

I think he's the best option right now, but it's his work around the park I don't like. I actually think he has the tools at scrum time to be good enough. I guess the rationale is to work on everything else.

To be fair to him, he finished much better than he started. He's going to get plenty of chances this year anyway, so there's not much we can do except complain - and hopefully ow up if he turns out good πŸ™‚

Wyatt's spent his time as the most penalized player in Super rugby, as well.

Don't listen to Tim. He's from Auckland - where they've known fuck all about propping a scrum since Olo Brown retired.

And in fact, fuck all about rugby, since around 2007. πŸ™‚

Not sure I agree with Nigel Owens shouting helpful directives to players all the time. Let him go, let him go he says to NZ players as the Bok player takes a quick tap. If NZ infringe, that's their problem, it's not as if the match is a cliffhanger.
