The Boks just drew with the Wallabies. Oz-Argentina game could be interesting later today.

@Pot-Hale He does the same for both sides and has kept the game flowing at top pace. Who gives a shit if he tells players to take their hands off before a penalty could be awarded.

      I do.

Infinitely better for the game than those French refs in June.

Have we ever down troued the Boks before? Beating them to nil has a nice ring to it.

A quick search reveals that it has happened at least three times before

            1921 00 - 00 @ Athletic Park
            1965 13 - 00 @ Carisbrook
            1999 28 - 00 @ Carisbrook

They have got us back three times as well
            1921 00 - 00 in Wellington
            1928 00 - 17 in Durban
            1960 00 - 13 in Johannesburg

didn't we win 19-0 in Cape Town sometime?

yep - google tells me 2008 in Cape Town, 16 august. McCaw was immense in that game.

@nzzp You are right - that puts us ahead by one in the numbers of down trou's administered. Hopefully that will increase to two in about 13 minutes time

Thank you. One of the elements of a fast paced game is speed of thought and movement to catch the opposition unawares. I don't need the ref flagging this to the opposition to make sure they don't infringe. But hey that's just me. :).

Very noticeable that we lack penetration or a straight runner in midfield now that SBW is off. He is essential for our backline to function effectively.

Well, I'd not have SBW in my team, but our attack has looked flat since he went off and took away the midfield bail-out straight running option. Would have hoped for Crotty to take over that role.

Only other player that can fill the role is Laumape, but he's still very raw at this level.

At this rate, the B&I Lions tour should be annualized in order for a competitive match involving the All Blacks
