That Miami Connection looks like utter shit , therefore I think I simply must watch it . Looks like a trip to Alice In Videoland is coming up .

Watched The Cabin in the Woods last night, seems your usual teen slasher bore fest until u see guys in an office type set up manipulating the teens throughout the film. Can't say much else without giving it away but thoroughly enjoyable watch especially the last 20 mins or so when it all turns to shit some great moments of gore and laughs too

Ha! Classic. It's worth sticking with dude. Did you see the guy get his arm ripped out of socket?
I seem to have missed this part. I'm going to sit down and watch it tonight.

Just watched it. Mrs Luigi turned to me at the end and said: "Well, what a load of shit" but I liked it. Classic Whedon, taking all the horror cliches and turning them on their head.

I loved it, so many laugh out moments. The killer Unicorn was a great touch.
Only down side is its a tough film to describe to people without giving it away.

Another film i caught last weekend from Prometheus..not really sure where to start on why it let me down so much...

Hangover 2: Some good laughs but otherwise pretty cråp. Pretty much the first film but in Thailand.

I hope they make a new film but with new writers and freshen it up a bit. As ordinary as the film was, those guys really work well together.

    finally watched Avengers last night.

I enjoyed it!

Having not read the comics I am a little confused about the difference in the Hulk between him on the plane and then in Manhatten, but like others liked the scene where he hit Thor, although I thought the next scene woth Lokey (sp) was better <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Watched it with my kids last night. Top notch little film. Can't wait to see the sequels.

The books are terrific as well.

The Dictator: On the whole pretty average but there are some absolutely hilarious moments. Not sure how SBC gets away with this stuff.

Took mini Mariner #1 to see "Hotel Transylvania" yesterday. It's great fun, and looks pretty cool. Your kids will love it, and you'll get plenty of laughs as well.

Iron Sky. Crowd-sourced Finland-Germany-UK-Australia movie production. The premise is genius: Nazi's escape Germany in 1945, relocate secretly to the dark side of the moon. American president (aka Sarah Palin) sends a black man to the moon. Nazi's interrogate and kill him, and with the computer firepower from his Blackberry they are able to launch an invasion of Earth. B-movie with some terrific low-budget effects, but some of the satire is lame and the actors are playing the dialogue with tongues planted firmly-in-cheek, when playing it straight would have been much better. I enjoyed it, but it was often idiotic and I can't help feel it was a wasted opportunity. (Even the soundtrack by Laibach was mostly forgettable.) 5.5/10

Dredd 3D. Starring Kiwi Karl Urban - never taking his helmet off. There is a scene in super-slo-mo 3D where a bullet takes out a bad dude's cheek, immersing the viewer in the flesh, teeth and blood flying off the guy's ripped face. There's lots of sick, disgusting ultra-violence throughout, but it reads much worse on the page than it does on the screen. On the screen, it actually looked kinda beautiful and mesmerizing - and there are shitloads of it. Good story, too. Recommend. 7.5/10.

Yeah Mrs TR took TR Jnr last week and she said it was really good and he loved it!
Watched a Scottish Movie called The Angels Share.

No names in it (although one of the fellas I reckon is Fullermorg) and a bit slow, but overall I quite liked it (despite being billed as a Drama Comedy, there were a few laughs) for some reason.

I went with a couple of mates to watch Dredd 3D. Very entertaining... NOT a chick flick.

Man is that out already? I gotta get me a ticket. The Stallone "interpretation" was perhaps the must disappointing comic-to-movie I've ever seen but the preview for this one looked spesh.

I find the Stallone version to be virtually unwatchable.

I was going to say "an abortive goat's ring of a production that made me want to drizzle ground glass into my eyes"...

Hey, it can't have been easy for Sly to shout "arm da lore!" through a mouth full of marbles, he sacrificed for his art man...

In Stallone's defense, he didn't want to take off the helmet either. With one of the most recognisable voices and jaws in movies, he really didn't need to either.

It needed a more experienced director, and probably a british one too that understood the character. Was so disappointed after watching that movie.

Not a remake of Jaws then?
