I went with a couple of mates to watch Dredd 3D. Very entertaining... NOT a chick flick.

Man is that out already? I gotta get me a ticket. The Stallone "interpretation" was perhaps the must disappointing comic-to-movie I've ever seen but the preview for this one looked spesh. -

I find the Stallone version to be virtually unwatchable. -
Hey, it can't have been easy for Sly to shout "arm da lore!" through a mouth full of marbles, he sacrificed for his art man...
-
In Stallone's defense, he didn't want to take off the helmet either. With one of the most recognisable voices and jaws in movies, he really didn't need to either.

It needed a more experienced director, and probably a british one too that understood the character. Was so disappointed after watching that movie. -

Watched a Scottish Movie called The Angels Share.

No names in it (although one of the fellas I reckon is Fullermorg) and a bit slow, but overall I quite liked it (despite being billed as a Drama Comedy, there were a few laughs) for some reason.

Not a remake of Jaws then? -
guessing somethign went over my head there....?
-
Fullermog & his fear of sharks, maybe...

Ex[endables 2 - it smells like chicken, looks like chicken...plenty of cliched one liners taking the piss out of themselves.

I think if they wanna do a 3rd, they need to add in maybe Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood and maybe a couple of others. -

I would be fucking A - Mazed if they added in Charles Bronson. -
You not seen what they can do with digital these days?
I'd say Willis, Arnie & Stallone are keeping the plastic surgeons busy! Chuck Norris & JCVD possibly too...

I heard that Stallone messed with other aspects of production though. I think you're spot on with the British director comment though.

Don't want to build myself up to much for the latest one, but I'm keen to see Urban do it because I like his work. -
Chuck Norris' face is so tight he looks bizarre. If JCVD has, then he should sue for leaving those massive bags under his eyes. He looked really old.

Willis and Arnie look untouched (and their age) Stallone looks like melted wax. -

He fought the director because he was screwing up a lot. Stallone gets a lot of grief for that movie, but the blame is shared (terrible script, rookie director, interfering producers making Sly take the helmet off, and incompetent casting with the likes of Rob Schneider...)

With the latest one, it's an entertaining action film that's faithful to the source material. So if you like the comics, you'll like the movie. Not the best movie in the world, but worth your money.
