I was talking to someone at the club , and they reckon that long , nearly 2 year injury break for his shoulder , was a blessing in disguise , really freshened up the rest of his body ,

He was so full of injuries a couple of years ago he was really struggling , was on the brink of retirement then , but now feels ready to play on

    And it starts ....

He didn't look too injured in the Grand Final.

@nepia To be fair he was injured for part of this season. Anyway, I didn't have him starting in my team - Mannering, Taylor and Taumalolo would be my backrow.

I'd have him in the starting lineup or on my bench (anyway, you made a conscious decision to pick Hiku so your selectorial bona fides are as dodgy as Kidwell and Kearney). If he could play the last 6 weeks he could play another few and then use the off season to get better ....

@nepia The conspiracy theorist in me would suggest its because of Bromwich and Proctor getting the boot that Harris has chosen to get his injuries sorted.

Hmmm, that's an interesting theory - I might check and see if that's the word going around the marae back home ....

I just heard Taumalolo is not playing for the Kiwis and is turning out for Tonga. Anyone able to confirm this? Kidwell must be the reason surely.

I hear SBW was back for the WC so Harris did the right thing and dropped out 🙂

@paekakboyz It's behind a paywall? It wasn't for me (I don't subscribe to Aussie rags).

This goes to show the Kiwi jumper means bugger all. Sure, hate the coach, but turn down a world cup spot because of it? Assuming it is the coach...

And it's pretty dumb of JT to side with the players, who both seem to be genuinely repentant, over the stance that Kidwell and NZL have taken.

Agree @Crazy-Horse, seems crazy that the Kiwi's jersey means so little to him.

Bro's before representing your country yo!!

The conspiracy theorist in me appears to be right. The players are uprising against the coach. Again.
