Other half and I just binged the Mist. Without posting too many spoilers it had more than a couple of outstanding horrific deaths and the premise was great but I read they cancelled it after one season and left us with a cliffhanger which sux.
Ah thanks for the heads up on that @mn5, was just about to start a binge session on that so will put that one down the list and look at other binge worthy options.
I really hate it when you invest in a series and then it get's cancelled and you are left feeling totally unsatisfied... Much like my own love life.
Cheers

am up to date with Mr. Mercedes with 2 eps of the series to go.
Pretty dark and farked up series, but some light humour in there at times.
Only noticed last night as I watched the opening credits it is based on a Stephen King novel.

It's still worth a watch though

@taniwharugby it is indeed. As a King fan from way back it is pleasing that they seemed to have worked out how to successfully turn his books into movies/tv series. For a long time his books didn't really transition to the screen well. For me I reckon the best bits of King's books is when you are inside the minds of the characters when they are going crazy - this is hard to depict in movies etc.

Case in point. Pet Semetary. Outstanding book, woefully shit movie. Would definitely benefit from some good directing and acting if it was remade.

Finished S3 of Silicon Valley, still pretty good, but gee those poor fuckers haha
Monica is hot.
-
@NTA Finished Ascencion
Quite liked it, moves along at an ok pace, had its flaws, but liked the storyline, plenty of scantily clad ladies.
Certainly see it was made for more than 3 eps though...

I've started Romanzo Criminale. Always love me a subtitled crime series. If you're into that sort of thing, the French police series Spiral is excellent.

Might be late to the show but really enjoying StartUp
Binge watched series 1, half way through series 2

Watched the final episode of Mr Mercedes last night...
But - with impaired judgement - after a gig, and drinking whisky throughout.
I seem to recall: maybe not great... but maybe just because my expectations were so high, and it was actually as nice and understated as most of the series?
I seem to recall being pleasantly surprised by the final few seconds.
Can anybody else provide a review so that I can form a complete opinion based on that? All my opinions are now based upon Fern consensus. -
@mikethesnow thanks for the heads up on S2!

@kruse yeah I thought it was decent, not as explosive as it could have been but tied tings up reasonably well.

I hope they arent gonna let him wake from his coma given he should really be dead, not sure if he dies in the books or not.
Liked the involvement of the young boy and the odd neice.
:::
@MiketheSnow that looks good, might have to add that to my watch list.
