Pissed off villain out for revenge: Check
Overhead tracking shot of protagonists running off something really steep: Check
Shocked and awed humans staring off into middle distance at unimaginable horror: Check
Human running through 24th century glass screen: Check (fragile glass on a starship! really?)
Oh and vapour trails from warp drive spacecraft (seriously?)

Plinkett must be spitting in his pants at this one.

Am I going to see it? Of course I'm going to see it.

Not a Trekkie myself, but I'd have a look at that one, bit of brainless action is good for the soul!

They've done such a good job with casting for the Trek reboot you really wish they could get the rest of that stuff spot on. It's the effects junkies imo, it's not enough to have an amazingballs space craft, no you've got to add a turbo and a blowoff valve to it! The whole less is more concept is lost in today's visual orgies of cgi.

But I will be there with bells on (not elf ears). Watched the reboot again the other day and really enjoyed it... but can someone explain to me how miners (ok, they are on a an 'advanced ship') are all hand to hand combat specialists!!

Aren't they juiced up on super roids and have super advance intellect? I expect then they would not be bad in a fight then..

[/quote]The Japanese trailer had extra footage evoking the end of Wrath of Khan with Kirk and Spock's hands and the glass. So after giving that away, there is probably zero chance of it being Khaaaaaaaaan!
I still suspect Khaaaaaaaan. Doesn't the glass image make it more likely?
They know every geek and Trekkie is going to be going through the trailer frame by frame. Why do something so obvious like that to give away the villain after keeping it secret so far? Although a quick google shows that everyone suspected it to be Khan before the trailers came out due to casting, and some comments from Benedict Cumberbatch. If we get Khan, do we get Klingons as well? Or are they saving them for movie 3?

Apparently Klingons are in the trailer too, it's who "Khan" is fighting in the beginning.

Cumberbatch wears a Starfleet uniform, so I don't think he's Khan. Also, the blonde looks like Gary Mitchell's bird from the TOS episode:
