@bovidae any excuse to drop a little bit of Get Smart
My old boss was forbidden to watch get smart as a child and didn’t find out for years why. Don Adams got invalided to Wellington with malaria he caught in Guadalcanal with the marines during the war and went out with his mum a few times while his dad was in North Africa with the eighth army. Kind of understandable I guess , it was before they were married though.

And they finally got Superman right - he smiles!
Huh? Didn't he die in the last one!?
Nobody stays dead in these movies. I thought about putting that in a spoiler, but I figured everybody knew that was happening.
Yeah, I was just kidding. I think at this point they are even using the actor to help promote the film?

Justice League - an enjoyable enough watch. Hack Snyder really is a poor film maker but this movie was watchable, a lot because of Gal Gadot, a lot because it was a decent length (not overlong), and because the characters in the Justice League actually turned out to be interesting. Although, after reading Kirwan's review I think everything I liked out about it was stuff he didn't like.
I actually thought some of the effects, especially at the start were pretty bad and lacked realism, something that most effects companies are able to do these days - so I assume it wasn't the stuff Weta worked on.
Once Snyder is out of the way the DC cinematic universe might actually start humming.

I hope that Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets lives up to the trailer
Seemed a bit of a mishmash of Avatar, Gardians of the Galaxy and a bunch of other sci-fi films.

Justice League
Finally, a DC film that was a hoot to watch. Sure, the SF on the bad guy weren't much chop, and it was a fairly predictable, unthreatening scenario for our heroes (when two of the five are effectively gods), but this was as good as a lot of the Marvel gear IMHO.
I thought the levity was actually a plus. Barry Allen made that movie for me with his totally awkward shit and wide-eyed innocence. And of course, I was watching Gal Gadot thigh's just as closely as Mrs TA was watching those shirtless freakozoids. She is stunning.

Late to the party but another big thumbs up for Thor. I went into it in a shitty mood but it soon turned me, lots of laugh out loud moments some where I was clearly the only kiwi in the theatre as I was the only one chortling. You'd have to say Waititi has made it big now

Tupac Shakur's cinematic debut. "It's like a cross between Goonies and Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

@tim wind river was decent enough I thought. Nothing special though.
Agreed. Worth a watch.
@Tim Although I don't love on Hell or Highwater and Sicario, I think they're both decent films but a bit overhyped. But, if those are your type of films it has elements of both.

American Made - Tom Cruise as Barry Seal, a former commercial airline pilot who starts running guns for the CIA and then drugs for Pablo...apparently based on a true story, however Uncle Google reckons it has been embellished somewhat, although where the CIA is involved, who knows.
Decent enough watch.
3 lucky escapes out of 5 hidden caches of loot
American Assassin (sheer coincidence I watched these over the weekend) MIchael Keaton and a couple of other younger guys that have been in movies recently.
Again, one of your typical sit back, turn off brain kind of action films, a young lass by the name of Shiva Negar is pretty tidy!
