    30 for 30 Ric Flair.

I liked wrestling as a kid into my late teens. Can't relate to it now. But I always used to love getting out the NWA Starrcade videos(they were easier to get than the WWF ones in my local Cyclops vid shop). Flair, Sting and Nikita Karloff were the major stars. This doco isn't as good as I thought it was going to be but it was still great insight into rock'n'roll wrestling in the 80's.

Worth a watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Interesting and random fact. NWA is now owned by Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame.

I appreciate Rick Flair now but seriously hated the prick when I was a kid.

Is it still called NWA? I thought i read that it became WCW

I think Ted Turner started that up from scratch. But Corgan does own what was and is now called the NWA. Theres a really good podcast of him on Rogan. Really interesting guy.

I thought the doco said that Turner bought NWA and it became WCW. Was apparently bigger than WWF only to get into financial shit and went bust. WWF owns all the rights to the names of the old NWA legends. Maybe Corgan was able to buy the defunct name....

More complicated than I thought. So NWA is the umbrella organisation that WCW used to be a part of. Doesn't seem to be very significant anymore

Yeah don't bother with the spoilers on stranger things guys...

Can you spoil the rugby for me though? I'm in the country with no sky so can't watch it. Thanks bro.

Also there are lots of dog things running around in Stranger things. They're pretty gnarly and scary. Lucky the cop is handy with a shotgun.

    Finished S2 of Startup.

Still enjoyed it, yes it gets a bit out there at times but that's what I want from my tv watching sometimes.

Izzy is an annoying bitch though, such a sulky sullen cow that I've never really warmed to her and really wanted her to succeed, but did so for Ronald who I reckon is awesome.

Godless - rather good. Western... with all that entails. Plenty of bleakness, tracking shots across vast landscapes, broken characters, back-stories, revenge, carnage, horse-love, etc, etc.
Very little nudity, and only later in the series, for you (other) perverts who include that in the "shall I bother" criteria.

Re: Godless. Only 7 episodes, but all are around 65-70 min. First few pretty good, ep 5 and 6 somewhat slower. Episode 7 big payoff. Lady Mary Crawley gets her kit off, a 1 sec Google search will get you that if your thing. I enjoyed it, Jeff Daniels was one of the all time great villains. But lotsa talky preachy type monologues.

Recently watched Sneaky Pete on Amazon. Giovanni Ribisi as a con man who borrows his cell mates life to escape from people on the outside trying to get him. Great show, smart, and a great cast (Margo Martindale, Peter Gerety, Marin Island). Best thing about it is it came out a year ago, so the second season is hopefully only a few months away. I enjoyed it more than Mindhunter, which was the series I binged before it

@rustycruiser sounds interesting, I see it was created by Heisenberg!

Lady Mary also gets her kit off a bit in Good Behavior, although TBH not sure if you see anything.

I started The Punisher, couple of eps in, looks like it will be worth finishing, even though I had told myself I wasnt taking on anymore Hero stuff!

I was lookin' for bittorrent on the recent ESPN 30-For-30 documentary about the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair and can't find it anywhere 😞

...but I did find one from a few months back titled "Fantastic Lies" about the Duke lacrosse team rape allegations. I'd heard about the case, but knew nothing about it. It's a real doozy. The accuser is horrible, obviously. But what's much worse is the District Attorney prosecuting the case while running for political office (he got disbarred); the preening moralizing rush-to-judgment news media that wanted to lynch the young accused men before any evidence was presented; and the SJW activists (including professors at Duke) who used the case to advance their own political agendas. Unbelievably, at the point where the case was dismissed after a year, the investigators had not even interviewed the accused nor the accuser. Eye-opening for sure, Kafka-esque and bloody terrifying.

The pilot of GLOW has a great soundtrack. Scandal, Patti LaBelle, and the best Journey song.

Sex sells for tv nowadays...grab your attention

Startup had 4 sex scenes in the first episode, then nothing until 32:24:11 into ep 8 haha...I dunno exactly when it was but was several eps later.
