I'll mention this in TV even though it is a (Netflix) movie but I really enjoyed Bright. Can't work out the bad reviews. I thought it was a cool idea, well executed.

when the hell do you guys find time to watch all of this TV? Do you have jobs? kids? Things outside to do?

Things i watched to conclusion this year: Game of Thrones, Last Chance U.

Things i started but never finished for various reasons: Mr Robot S2, Designated Survivor, Luke Cage.

How the hell you guys can watch all these shows, and all the sport you seem to watch is beyond me. Well done all of you.

Maybe you are trying to fit in too much porn as well?

    Please define.

As in "too much porn to also watch endless TV shows"

Just started trying to watch Chaussee d'Amour. It is a Belgian made series with the dialogue in Dutch. OK that's the bad part. On to the good. It's about a woman whose world collapses when her arrogant gynaecologist husband is arrested for taking too much pleasure in his work. As luck would have it, her long estranged Father has just died and left her the freehold of his brothel and she has to move in there with her kids. Much gratuitous sex of many different types and some bloody horny brasses as well as some downright skanky ones.

Meanwhile one of her Father's old friends has had the road outside his garage dug up and a body has been found.

2 episodes on so far and whilst I'm struggling there is a part of it that has me hooked.

Our wifi modem died on Xmas day, a nice reminder of just how shit fta and sky is , even allowing for the fact that they normally pile on crap shows over the break it was really really shit.

Been watching Shameless, the us version not the bleaker Uk one. It’s pretty funny in a twisted way with a wide variety of nudity to cater for all tastes.
    Also Emmy Rossum .

@bones You're not alone there. Just felt the chick started to grate on me and the storyline just started to become increasingly unlikely. Still very watchable though

@bones thats what you want from tv though isnt it? A bit of BS, sit back, relax and enjoy!

But yeah farking Izzy, was annoying AF, needed a bullet!

Jean Claude van Johnson...have 1 ep left to go, after a good pilot, ep 2 was a bit average, but enjoyed it since.

Although the darker tones of the JCvD 'character' life depicted is a bit sad

"Millennials" are often maligned or sympathised with here. As with everything else, the US situation is more extreme than elsewhere.

Million Dollar Extreme nailed those Americans' denial about their generation's situation and inexplicable lack of political activism with this sketch. Millennial masochism.

Too bad Sam Hyde went crazy.

Black Mirror sucks now, and the new Netflix doco series, Dope, is stupid drug war propaganda garbage.

There's a new Liam Neeson action thriller out next month though, so everything is alright.

One of the episodes has the gayest fucking happy ending, which would absolutely never have happened before. Very much a yank influence.

Watching it at the moment. I'm actually really enjoying it. Best episode was the woman who had to kill everyone in order to tie up a few loose ends.

The LOng Way Home, a Nat Geo series.

Based on the true story of an American platoon that was ambushed in Sadir, Iraq in 2004 and the subsequent attempts to rescue them from what had previously been known as 'the safest city in Iraq'

Shades of Black Hawk Down, seems poor decisions with poor intel lead to this, similarly a number of these types of films.

    Decent watch though.

ANyone watched the series 'The End of the Fucking World'? Sounds like it could be good.

Have "The Long Way Home" recorded on the IQ3 and planning to binge watch that at some point soon. Good to hear that it's a decent watch.

The reason for not watching until now is that some "dramatisations" of real events aren't done very well so a decent review is helpful.

Also watching this, as I have been a big fan of Ken Burns (Civil War, Jazz, Baseball etc). For those in Australia it is available on demand on SBS.

    Excellent!

    Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix

Excellent show in the same vein as a number of others such as Mindhunter etc. For those that might be fans, it stars Sam Worthington.

No spoiler, but it's Ted Kaczynski...

I thought it was decent, also interesting to see how with today’s press coverage and the Internet how families are affected when there is a battle like that .

@dk yeah it is streaming on TVNZ on demand too.

Think I am only upto about ep6, just watching an ep here and there, but compelling viewing.

@RoninWC yeah is a good watch, I think there is a touch of the Americanisation in it, but as jegga says, showing the family back home as things play out is good too.
