I don't know, that seems like a fair review. That menu is pretty fucking stupid, and yea, I'm astounded anyone would think those jokes would fly. The rest of the review is about not liking most of the food for the price?

@mariner4life my thoughts exactly. The stupid menu says a lot about where the restaurant is positioning itself. Couple that with inattentive wait staff and some over-priced fails and I thought the review did a good job of portraying what the restaurant is about.
I'm not offended by the puerile menu but I would be grateful for it being highlighted as it would warn me to steer clear of the place

It's a stupid menu, and no doubt the market will sort out whether or not the place survives for long, but I'm pretty much over everyone taking offense to absolutely everything. My care factor for people being offended today is precisely 0.

@tim My pidgin is a little rusty (and PNG not Ghana) but I think not crossing the river on Tuesday is fair. I don't like working on Tuesdays, or any other day, so good for them. I do have equality issues with the boys having to go though...
I never would have believed in a title such as "Menstrual Hygiene Ambassador" unless I had read it in the Pidgin news.

@rembrandt they changed their moderation policy last year , it was long overdue considering about 60% of the posts blamed John Key for everything from the weather to cows shitting in rivers.
There’s still way too many labour/green activist types flailing away . By too many I mean any number more than zero. -

I couldn’t find it, there’s one moonbat called Ladyofscales that makes Winger look tame. 9/11 stories seem to bring out the worst in her, she’ll rant on and on about special forces filling the twin towers with thermite to kill the auditors who were tracking the billions Rumsfeld stole from the US government.

Not a great deal sorry pal. Met her at the Southern X in town. My witty banter was going great guns til I jokingly mentioned to her that gay guys are great at interior designing ( or maybe party planning, can't remember exactly ) and she got really offended 'OMG I have gay flatmates, this is such an outdated bigoted view etcetc'
I then made the mistake of mentioning I have gay friends who love a laugh which just dug me deeper in my own hole. She did a bit of psychoanalysing and apparently by making jokes like that I make light of my 'deep seeded hatred' of others or some such bullshit. I just about choked on my beer trying to down it and get out of there. ( it was Garage Project, you can't just leave those lying around)
Needless to say I didnt get a root.

@mn5 It's amazing how quickly that sort of talk can turn a 10 into a talking compost heap.
...I've also met some compost heaps who share the same views..the question is, do sjw views come before the composting or the other way around? Chicken and egg I suppose.

She wasn't a 10.
I knew from the initial chats that my chances of getting her to make me a sandwich were pretty slim but I thought I'd have a hoon anyway.
