Only just watched it (without knowing the result). Unfuckingbelievable that an international sevens player would do that.
It would be idiotic from a schoolboy, but got to expect more from a guy in black. Sevens is all about possession FFS, you just don't give it away. Check Baker's bank account - however I doubt that he is smart enough to have taken any cash from a bookie. Fuck that pissed me off. I need my morning coffee. -

That was really poor by nz.
Aus smashed them at the breakdown and NZ lack of speed really showed up.
Caleb Clarke needs to play in Hamilton next week - a sprint champion is sitting twiddling his thumbs on the bench as 13th man injury cover - what a waste!

@bones Curry is playing with an injury; I guess they thought his experience and leadership would be worth more than the speed of inexperienced Clarke. They'll regret that now, because what we were clearly missing was speed.

Playing with an injury doesn't excuse that munter moment where he tried to grubber it in his 22, straight into the foot of the player right in front of him. The opposite of showing experience.

Hmm, although the AB7s will still be playing for points, being dropped to the 5th place play-offs might just be a reason for the coaches to give Clarke an opportunity. Fingers crossed.

All Blacks 7s 5th place semi at 7.14pm - then, if they beat England (and that's a big "if"):
