I just watched the first episode of Peaky Blinders S4 and it appears to have gotten stupid now.
Why would Michael go all the way to the farm without a) a weapon, and b) any men. As soon as the stupid letters arrived they would have been calling up bodyguards. Also, I don't think I can put up with 5 episodes of Adrien Brody.
What annoyed me is why would the hit team waste John, wound Michael then just drive off.
You're in the middle of nowhere boys finish the job. The cops are going to be racing round the bend any minute now.

Vikings Finale..more questions than answers. Serious amounts of crazy in this season, some great battles, but seriously how the fuck do you tell who you are fighting, seemed people on both sides with same shields and they all look the same, or maybe to Vikings they are easily differentiated haha
:::
Best not be killing off Lagertha, otherwise I am done, DONE!
Also cant let Floki die either, with Rollo rarely sighted, him and Lagertha are the only ones from the original series?
Anywhoo, not sure why Rollo would give his troops to Ivor to fight Lagertha & Bjorn (even if he wants Bjorn spared) I thought Rollo was in love with Lagertha?
So him cruising into Kattekat is a good thing for Lagerhta and Bjorn, or now in trouble with troops on both sides of them?

Agree with your first sentence in the spoiler 100%.
Also, not content with out action scene-ing GoT this week they attempted to our fantasy them as well.
Didn't know it was the end of the season (mid season break like last season I assume?) so a bit gutted it wont be on next week.
::: The whole Rollo helping Ivar is a bit weird. He was much closer to Bjorn and Fitsek only has a relationship with him because of Bjorn.
I don't care about Floki, but want them to keep Bjorn and Lagertha around. :::
Peaky Blinders - what the hell happened between S3 and S4? Did they hire the Walking Dead writers on mass? Midway through S4 and the writing is idiotic and the acting by Brody is even worse than I expected it would be.
Lets go back to where we grew up they'll never get us there amongst our people - yet they all just stroll in.
As for Brody, it's like he's doing the worst Brando/De Niro Vito Corleone impression ever. WTF.

Watched the first two episodes of Britannia last night. It's.... not very good. There are about 25 "main" characters, and after approx 3 hours of TV, it's still pretty vague on who or what it's about. You can probably blame GoT and it's success for that i think.
Some titties, some violence, lots of drugged out looking shots.
Not sure it's done enough early to make me waste my limited TV time on it.

IT's funny as I though season three sucked a bit and loved season 4. IT's still my favourite show and Tom Hardy really is the best character
-
@hooroo yeah that chat between Hardy and Brody in the latest series was a awesome, I love his character too.
I wasn't sold on Brody's NY Gangster stereotype, but then was this about the time the stereotype originated?
-
@hooroo I'm just finding S4 to be stupid. Characters doing stupid things, stupid contrivances, stupid character arcs, stupid plotting. I thought S3 was a step down from the first two seasons but still a good watch. I'm still watching this one because I like the established world, but my hate watching of The Walking Dead suggests I'll continue to watch stuff anyway.
Hardy is great, but that's balanced out by Brody stinking up the place. @taniwharugby The chat was good because of Hardy, Brody managed to not ruin it completely by coming across as an actual human for once and not a caricature.

I liked the Brody Character. Never heard of him before a an actor but then I don't follow who does what really.

Damn, we must have completely different tastes in acting (and shows/films ... yes I'm still reeling from your preference of JL over Thor ;)). Brody is one of those actors that I struggle to watch, I just don't like him and his style, and this was probably his worst role of all for me.
As for the finale. Now I'm 100% confirmed they hired The Walking Dead writers.
::: So, they're at a boxing match, where their 'soldiers' are the only ones armed, yet we don't see any of those soldiers guarding anything, and when there's trouble the two bosses go after it alone, don't take any security, and none of the security see them moving. There's no guards in the changing rooms. So fucking stupid and on a par with the stupidity of sending an accountant with no guards to pick up their brother when they know the Mafia dudes are wandering along.
And as for the deus ex machina Al Capone, what a load of tripe.
In saying all that I'll likely watch a 5th series about Tommy the Politician. :::

Mars
Blending present-day (2016) documentary of Mars aspirations with a bit of scifi drama set in 2033 onward.
Things go a bit wrong on the mission, and the necessary last-minute workarounds save the day etc.
6 eps in and I'm interested enough to keep watching. Mainly because they're looking at the stuff NASA and SpaceX are doing today, and really delving into the technical and human challenges of going to another planet, and then relating that to the drama bit.
:::
Commander starts to lie to everyone which kind of snowballs into a series of shitfights. What a dickhead.

ps is everyone in Sydney really that fucken rich despite not one (seemingly middle class) character ever going to work for one second in the whole season?
Yes.
I've been lying about having to work all this time.
