Good news for the Chiefs. I wonder if the Highlanders made a play for DMac to return home to replace Sopoaga?

No one ever returns to Mataura once they escape, even if their refuge is the Tron

Yeah, I went through Mataura a few times and I can understand why Meg and Cowan left. I didn't think the McKenzies were from there. Gore isn't much better.

Yeah, family farm was just north of Gore but the stench of Mataura travels far

Couldn’t find anywhere else to post this, but when did Romania join super rugby?
They’re currently 7-0 up over the Reds.

Tongan Thor actually looked really impressive. Excellent in the loose and scrummaged well. I think this guy will play a lot of Tests for the Wallabies. Bit of a loss to Auckland rugby imo.

Thorn has got the Reds going well. Enjoyable game of rugby that.

The Jaguares are giving the Tahs a good 'ol spanking! 26-0 after 20 minutes.

That's scarcely believable (as is the thoughts that the Blues could win in Johanesburg!). I guess the IRB will be taking a close look at of the passenger lists for flights from Mumbai to Buenos Aires

Probably the best 40 mins I've ever seen the Jaguares play.

That's a pity. That looked brilliant and the Jaguares player (23) deserved that try.

                                  Full time: Jaguares 38 - 28 Waratahs

That score is flattering the Tahs, who scored two converted tries in the last 5 minutes.

Looked like he did for NH. He still finds unlikely breaks, a good player for a midget.

Good enough to have a contract in NZ IMO

After missing the gutsy 27-21 victory over the Blues in Auckland two Fridays back, lock Brodie Retallick (poke in the eye at training) and first five-eighth/fullback back Marty McKenzie (concussion) are both fit to face the Bulls in Hamilton on Friday night, but that's the only good news coach Colin Cooper had to report pre-training on Monday afternoon.

Thwaites played for the Chiefs Dev team but I know little about him. He did start for BOP last year.

Based on who is available Ross and Ta'avao will start with Tu'inukuafe and Thwaites on the bench. SA teams are always a good test in the scrum so Hoeft will be working hard this week.
