Wales try to finish with a flourish but a knock on denies North his hattrick.

Good win for Wales. Stuck to the task even when down one or two men.

Patchell to start next week please.

Great to see North with a smile on his face.

I only glimpsed it at the pub but how did that shoulder to the head escape a red card from a french ref?
Couldn’t see much difference to the SBW red. Clumsy contact shoulder to head

Reaction in the papers seems to vary between realism and believing Eddie that it is just a little 'tough period'.

What got lost in the euphoria last year was that they could just as easily have been in a poor position in the 6N then as well with a couple of close escapes.

What looks to have happened is that the flaws were advertised last year and purchased by the opposition this year. Meanwhile England have done nothing to change either their style or mindset.

They went into that game yesterday knowing that they needed 4 tries yet (arrogantly?) decided that they would grind the French into playing like chooks instead of Roosters and reap the rewards late in the game. A risky plan that didn't come off at all.

I can't believe the debate in some quarters about the PT, with it being referred to as either a harsh call or 'unfair' (good old Kaplan again). You could show a clip of that PT in training videos as a correct call. In most games that would have been a YC if the tackle was in general play. When done against a player a metre from an open line the call is pretty simple.

The expected Stephen Jones roast in the Times was funny. He (of course) blamed NZ and Oz rugby for convincing everyone that the game should be played fast and with ball movement. His solution is for England to stop trying to play and just put their heads down and bash.

I actually find it a disgusting article and headline. He's an international, a good player in a team that may be the weakest in the 6 Nations and no. 14 in the world rankings, but reaching 133 test caps is a huge achievement nevertheless. He deserves respect, not rubbish like this.

There's a growing controversy surrounding an incident involving Cian Healy

                                https://twitter.com/peterrobinson86/status/972759408785715200

He didn’t undergo a HIA and returned to play in the second-half. Ireland went on to win the game, before being crowned Six Nations Champions a few hours later following England’s loss to France in the Stade de France.

Come on Scotland! Get him to the milestone in style !

Italy are lucky that Scotland have been pretty dire particularly in the mid 2000s when it was always an entertaining scrap for bottom place. In saying that they've still picked up 13 wooden spoons in 18 years.

They've brought precisely 3 5ths of 5 8ths of fuck all to the tournament as a whole.

I wondered if that Cian Healy head knock would come up post match. It was poor form all around. I can understand the ref not noticing but the AR was there and the trainers should be embarrassed.
                                      Healy was in la-la land

I wondered if that Cian Healy head knock would come up post match. It was poor form all around. I can understand the ref not noticing but the AR was there and the trainers should be embarrassed.

Surely they have a match doctor too whose job would also include looking for any possible HIAs? Sam Whitelock was assessed on Sat night based on the doctor's decision not any official.
