Gold Coast Comm Games

Watched David Nyika's first fight. Hard to take much from it cos his opponent spent most of his time swinging like a bar drunk, but he looked like he has fast feet. Not sure what was going on with the ring ropes. Padded is one thing, but the amount of give was ridiculous.
Also watched the last quarter of the Silver Ferns vs Wales. Obviously not the top 7 on court, but on the whole they looked sloppy. Poor passing, poor shooting and way too many penalties against a side ranked a long way below them.

Just a fucking Aussie procession. Medal after fucking medal.
This is going to be tough to take
Correct me if I'm wrong but you do choose to live there?

The Welsh team must have thought the Games were in Magaluf.
Shocking.
My mate's kid Joel Makin playing tomorrow in the squash.
Can't wait.
First two matches won.
Round of 16 today. Fingers crossed

3-0 victory
Through to the last 8
One more victory and then it's playing for a medal time

2 days in and I’m already sick to shit of seeing the Australians clean up every fucking event.
Doesn't help that two of their strongest sports are at the front of the games.
Can we have multiple medal events for throwing steel balls please?

Pool update: Clareburt follows up with a good heat in the butterfly, qualifies 6th fastest for tonight's final. Sophie Pascoe smashes everyone and qualifies fastest for 200 medley final. Gees, she is a beautiful swimmer to watch in the water. Makes it look effortless, and she has no stroke weakness in the medley like most swimmers do.

Mixed triathlon won bronze - great performance by them, and really stoked for Andrea Hewitt to leave with a medal. Sam Webster easily won his best of three semi in the men's sprint, so will be going for gold against a Scot who easily beat the Aussie. Richie Patterson has crapped out in the weightlifting.
