That's good news indeed, he looks to be a real character. Right here in my part of Wellington we are suffering a rain shadow so no coverage at the moment. Fingers crossed it won't last too long.

Walsh improves slightly to 21.40, but still well down on his best. And leading.

Walsh wins gold in the shot put, but nowhere near what he threw in qualifying. Also three fouls out of 6.

So that's four gold and two silver today. Sensational haul, and moves us up to 3rd on the medal table!

Just saw the replay of his last lift, that bar looked comic book ridiculous. 229kg clean. 430kg total. O for awesome
