Still Tahs 0 -7 Lions at half time. I'm giving up on this game.

Lions forwards munched the Tahs in the second half.

      Lions win 29-0.

Tahs are the best Aussie side. Cripes.

The general wisdom of TSF was well tricked by the Tahs going into this game if our tipping is an indication.

@damo Thats interesting, I'll gave to look into the Flynn effect. I'm only partially aware of the bell curve mainly through Harris's recent interactions with Murray as well as through some of Stefan Molyneux's videos. Plan to read Murray's book at some point this year, the violent reaction to academic research however does concern me especially when people go down the 'facts are racist' route.

My point here is similar but from a different point of view. As Folau can't prove he is correct, especially to those who don't believe in heaven/hell it is then far easier to ignore him and claim he is just another 'crazy' christian just as you would a screaming homeless man with a 'hail the apocalypse' sign. Facts, figures and analysis are much harder to deal with.... but anyway I think we've trailed waaaaay off the aussie rugby subject..

Tah's going well, where's that bloke who used to always say 'this is our year' before disappearing from the forum at the later stages of the comp?

We might be off topic, but surely it's better than discussing the actual state of Aussie rugby. That's just too depressing a subject at the moment.

@rocky-rockbottom it's a comforting thought, but no doubt we will find a way to fuck THAT up, too.

              Fucking Kiwi coaches.

Would you call it an upset if the Jaguares beat the Brumbies? Still 20 minutes to go, but at the moment it's Brumbies 10 - 20 Jaguares.

                    Brumbies have scored.
                    17 - 20 Jaguares with 13 minutes to go.

Jaguares player suffering an awful neck injury. That really looked bad.

Well-deserved win for the Jaguares. Full time: Brumbies 20 - 25 Jaguares.

I think all Aussie teams have lost this weekend? Hmmmm 🤔

@stargazer Yep no byes or local derbies this weekend. So that pretty much decides it.

Brumbies the only Aus team who managed to pick up a competition point (just).

... but why didn't all the NZ teams play all the Aussie team on ANZAC weekend?

                                    Kind of a chance missed?

Got smashed in both grades on the weekend. Now everyone is talking about contracting to one Grade.

Thing is, last two weeks were the toughest in the comp - away against the biggest sides who will probably contest the Grand Final short of a serious upset. Both heavy Islander influence (the backline were speaking almost exclusively Samoan yesterday) and some freaking awesome talent on display. Those guys could help Parramatta or Penrith at Premier level!

For the next five games its mostly smaller teams, mostly based out of the eastern suburbs, and we stand a chance of beating them in both grades with enough numbers. But if we don't snag 2 full Grades + 5 spare, then the Committee are calling Second Grade off, fuck the part-timers, and rebuild the club with just the one grade.

I'm still on the fence about that plan. Its not going to help the club grow, but then you could easily destroy a club through injuries.

And we still won't have the talent to take on the big skilled teams and win. Probably just more injuries.

Our club here in Hamilton, NZ are having the same problem with injuries and lack of B players. The starting A team Backline had 3 of last weeks B backline. Having a red card before halftime didn't help our case this week.
