    Also, played with the new srixon zstar balls today and they are very nice. Good distance off the tee but nice and soft so great around the greens too. I like

    I hate Srixon gear for some reason and will never play with a Srixon ball. Stuffs me mentally just seeing it on the tee. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Played a corporate day last week (i love this time of year). 4 part timers in my grioup and we managed to hit 6-under. Even with max handicaps, we came nowhere, too many serious fullas at this one.<br />
    <br />
    Did have my best ever golf moment though. On the 10th they had a "pay the pro" hole, where for a $5 donation you could get the club pro to take your tee-shot. We all paid the money, so we could pick the best one, but i decided to hit my own as i shanked the previous hole. The pro hit first, and split the fairway, 100m from the green, great shot. I hit 2nd, and fucking smoked it, possibly the best drive i have ever hit, 60m from the green, dead centre of the fairway. The pro got the shits and refused to hit the other 2 shots we paid for! i didn't care, i was stoked as fuck.<br />
    <br />
    I have been using Adams balls for about a year, and i love them. i always thought different balls affecting your play was marketing bullshit, but i seem to hit these balls better than any others.

    I like the New TaylorMade replacement for the Penta. Good ball for $60/Doz.<br />
    <br />
    Rebel Sports now do good deals on ProV1's Just got to keep an eye out for them.

    $60 a dozen??!! fuck me! even though i don't lose anywhere near as many as i used to, that is still an outrageous amount of money! i wait until Golf World have one of their many, many sales, and get those Adams for about $24 (normally down from $40).

    I generally pay $85 for a Doz Pro v and then I still feel like I'm getting a bargain.

    I use Prov v's mostly, have tried the Penta, a bit so so, if I am hitting the ball well, they go great, but found if I wasnt timing it, they werent that great (I know) Think I got a doz Pro V's for $60 on special at Rebel (about 6 months ago)<br />
    <br />
    Bridgestone also make some great golf balls, but I find I have the same problem was I do with the Taylors, not usually a fan of the Srixon balls, although I havent used the new ones.<br />
    <br />
    Corporate days are good as you can use a rock off the tee for distance and change to a soft ball into the greens <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    I was a staunch Pro V1 user until last year. I had a crack for a while with some Bridgestones and Z stars. Hated them both.<br />
    <br />
    I have gone back to the new pro v1x and love them. I cant see myself playing another ball. Get them on the cheap at Rebel sports when they have a 25% off sale.

    Have just got a new RBZ stage 2 'tour' driver (previous driver was a Cleveland Launcher). So far have had 3 rounds with it and I have definitely seen an increase in distance. At the weekend I even cleared a fairway bunker with a miss hit fade - I have never cleared this particular bunker. It was cold too so it is fair to say I cant wait for summer!<br />
    <br />
    Has anyone tried the R1?

    🙂 Nice. I used a mates driver for last four holes on Saturday and it was the longest and straightest I've hit in years. Far too much flex in my supposed Stiff Flex shaft.
