Mo'unga is OK, I think - but, I reckon they'd call up Sopoaga if one of the three first fives went down. There's no-one else who's close to good enough for test footy.

Mounga is certainly the form NZ 10 this season so far.

Looking forward to him getting his chance with the ABs.

Put BB behind a top line pack and it's a different story. Especially when you factor in Smith's passing speed. But Mounga has been playing well and I'd much rather him than DMac as our #2 pivot.

    2017 says maybe not

I don't see it happening but i would like to see 9.Smith
    10. Mounga
    11. Ioane
    12. SBW
    13. Crotty
    14. Smith
    15. BB

BB coming in to first receiver but with Mounga doing most of the driving around of the team could be deadly. However they didn't do it last year when Sop's was there so it's not going to happen.

Dmac is a 15 only for me. Id rather Jordie at 10.

@mariner4life still reckon 2017 BB would edge 2018 Mounga.

Interesting logic. The ABs lost 2 games. One with SBW sent off and one with Sopoanga at 10.

Won't happen but I'd like to see:

    9: Smith
    10: BB
    11: Ioane
    12: JB
    13: Goodhue
    14: Naholo
    15: B. Smith

True, the midfield was kind of beside the point in this exercise though. Almost left it blank for that reason.

Interesting logic. Your team could win and the player will still be trash. Same goes for a player being good, even if his team loses.
Comment about BBs 2017 form is interesting, wasnt BB (surprisingly) player of the year?

I do believe that RM should be on the bench ahead of DMac.

The point is if he was so shit in 2017 that would have been reflected in the results. I wasn't.

And yes, he was world player of the year. For the second year in a row. But fark it, let's chuck in someone new.

It should also be noted that BB's major weakness, i.e. his kicking, has not been a problem this year. He's been knocking them over from everywhere. Pity he couldn't do that last year but it bodes well for the ABs this year.

The point may be that maybe your 2017 World Rugby Player Of The Year is playing a bit shit, especially compared to this guy, who we recall has outplayed your 2017 World Rugby Player Of The Year several times. Yeah, fuck him, right?

I'm not sure some of you guys have been watching a lot of Canes games this year. BB has been absolutely critical, without him we look utterly rudderless. Every time West has been at 10 we've struggled badly.

If it wasn't for BB sparking the backline we would have lost a lot more games with a powderpuff pack that has really struggled against a lot of teams, including the bloody Reds.

I agree he wasn't in vintage AB form in 2017, but I'm not convinced our tactics and gameplan were that crash hot either.

It's great to see Mo'unga continue his development, he's clearly second in line right now, but Beauden still offers a hell of a lot more. I just hope they have Mo'unga on the bench ahead of bloody DMac.

Great All Black in a bit shit for his Super Rugby team shocker! This is something we've not seen before, what will the ABs coaches do?

Whilst I essentially agree I'm not sure the bolded bit supports your argument.

Outplayed him? By that I presume you mean surfed behind a far superior pack. Let's swap those round and see how your man goes. I doubt you even watch a single game not involving the Crusaders (means you can't get your red and black gimp suit out).

I'm quite happy to have RM as back up 10, but this talk of him replacing BB is ridiculous.
