@snowy Quite often, me (and other historical romance authors) get accused of inaccuracy due to language - they tell us that fluffybunny and fuck are modern words. fluffybunny is first recorded in use in the 13th century, fuck is a bit later, early to mid 1500s.
I provided a link to a great article written by a British sex historian about the etymology of the word. Was quite funny - some American woman replied to both Lesley and I saying we needed a bar of soap in our mouths. Not sure why US people get so pissy over the word fluffybunny when fuck and pussy are fine. Shrug.

Did fluffybunny have the same meaning as in modern usage anatomically? Assume that it wasn't used as a form of abuse?
Fuck has also evolved but was it purely a sexual act originally?
Agreed that those words are no worse than others. Who ranks these things? Is cock worse than willy? Weird.

@snowy fluffybunny has always been a term for lady parts. The abuse aspect of fluffybunny is pure misogynistic bullshit - same as calling someone a pussy. it's a reference to a female-related thing, so therefore 'weak' or 'less than'.
Logically speaking, it's even stupider when you think of what lady parts handle - childbirth, sex etc. A cock gets whacked and the guy is curled up on the ground.
And yes fuck, and fucker were always about the sex act in the past.

No, not always. Can be used in colloquial language like fuck can.

Point was that referring to people as genitalia isn't always gender specific (don't want to go down that road - I'm already confused about other peoples gender identity crises). Men do get referred to as fluffybunnies as well though.
Thinking about it for male parts, cock, penis, dick, knob, bellend, many more I'm sure. There aren't so many for women that I can think of...

Female parts got called that afterwards (furry, warm and soft maybe) language and connotations evolve of course but "scaredy cat", timid animals are probably the origin of calling someone a pussy. Nothing misogynistic, related to women or suchlike.

BBC Crime Drama Luther just finished up over here. Only saw about half of the 6 episodes by fluke but it was really good. If it comes on tele anywhere else I'd highly recommend.

Since all the shows I love seem to be on hiatus right now (apart from The Handmaid's Tale) I started watching Peaky Blinders S1. Great cast, and intriguing setup of WW1 hero as crimelord. I did laugh at one bit, where Annabelle Wallis (Grace the barmaid) does this little smile nod. She did the EXACT same thing in The Tudors as Jane Seymour. I also liked the fake execution to fool the Italians.
