@mariner4life game was tied. JR Smith thought Cavs were up by 1.

zero chat about today's game? Warriors looked like they were in control the home time.

Curry with a record 9 threes. One shot, if it was anyone else, people would yell "buuuullllshit!" but Steph does it so fucking often. Loses the handle, dude in his face, basically in the car park, shot clock to nothing, jacks it up. And swish.

@mariner4life I heard Warriors fans were chanting MVP when JR Smith was at the foul line.

    Troll level maximum.

@mariner4life you look at Lebron's body language after the shot. It totally says"what the fuck are you supposed to do there?" Love was playing great D and he's 6'10 but somehow Curry get just enough separation to get over him. You can not guard that and yeah it's totally a high percentage shot for Curry.

I can't see Cav's pegging on back but stranger things have happened.

On Jr, we had some water cooler talk today about the US's love of immortalising sporting mishaps and how the central figure is never allowed to live it down again. In other words Jr's lasting legacy will be not knowing what the fuck was going on.

Every year during March Madness they almost always show Chris Webber's brain fart in the NCAA final

I think the situation will mean it's not remembered as an all-time blunder. For it to get to that status, it would need to be a game 6 or 7 IMO.

If the Warriors go on to sweep or win 4-1, JR may well get off the hook. While you could argue he cost them the game, it won't go down as a series deciding moment when looked back on in 5-10 years.

No doubt about it that it was a “big” stuff up by JR. but I like what KD said in his post game interview about how all players do dumb stuff on the court. I don’t think it is 30 for 30 proportions though.....

But the OT play of the Cavs was nowhere near that of the Warriors. That was the real difference.

Game 2 played out how I think most of the world believed the tone of the series would be. Cavs hanging around on the back of LBJ and Love and then Warriors going on one or two spurts with hot shooting and great passing to pull away.

Chef was on fire, but I thought KD really stepped up and then Klay had a quiet 20. Add to that the fact that Shaq’tin and Livingstone combined for 11-11 from the field.

He might be the most annoying NBA talking head, but I actually agree with Steven A. Smith who said its time the Cavs played Rodney Hood more. I think of all the supporting cast, he can actually catch fire and with his size can play good perimeter defence on the switches.

I agree there is a tendency to look for those types of stories - the Steve Bartman story probably the most infamous for following someone that stuffed up. But the Fab 5 story was so much more than that TO call in terms of impact on college ball. There are so many other dimensions that make for a great story.

It's bizarre how far Hood has fallen. While he has his flaws, he was a leading scorer on a decent Jazz team, averaging about 15-20 a game (just a guess).

Now he's getting regular DNPs. When Lebron loses faith in you, you don't get many chances to restore it...

Hood didn't want to check in. Persona non gratis by now i7d reckon

That was a bad move, in the eyes of the whole team and coach. He might be packing his bags in the Summer

Remember your childhood nemesis? So do Steph and Klay

Believe it or not, even the Splash Brothers had someone from their past who gave them fits on the court. This is the never-before-told story of the childhood battles that helped create one of the best backcourts in NBA history.

Cavs slightly ahead in game three.

Question. LBJ got a bit stuck and then threw against the backboard (wasn't a shot)which he then collected for a selfmade Ally-oop.

Does he get an assist stat for that as well as the basket?

And then Curry nailed the definitive 3, stroked home his freethrows, and that was all she wrote.

It's fucked that they have Curry, and Durant, and they just move seamlessly to whoever is hot.

Splash brothers are cold from 3, no matter when Durant drops 40 plus on the cavs. They got so many easy buckets off the pick and roll too, that's what you get when you have to respect the best outside shooting in the league, McGee scores in double figures
