Not just nerds. Afflick would suck as Batman. Clooney was bad enough but Afflick? That's as bad if not worse than Nick Cage as Superman. Thankfully that didn't happen and hopefully this doesn't either. I'm not even a Batman fan and haven't even seen the last movie, I just hate to see such an iconic character ruined by that farking tool.

I like Affleck, under rated as an actor and is a good director. Unlike most Hollywood actors he won't look like a hobbit next to Henry Cavill's Superman.

This hate by the nerds is all building up to Ben Affleck pulling off the best Batman performance and winning an Oscar for it (hey, happened with The Joker*)
 
*And yes I know part of the reason for Heath Ledger getting the oscar was cause he died.Still people were against him at the start. Ditto for Bond (Daniel Craig).

We're the Millers: This was actually a laugh out loud film, the movie theatre I was oin was cracking up so much I kept missing lines. It's about a guy who enlists a stripper, his nerdy neighbour and a homeless girl to help him smuggle weed from Mexico in an RV. It has Jennifer Aniston and a bunch of familiar comedy faces like Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec and the dentist from the Hangover movies. 
Hooroo - re: Warm Bodies. I really enjoyed that movie, it was a different take on zombies with a little bit of old school zombie action in parts as well.

The Iceman, based on the true story of a hitman (which I only realised yesterday has been on Discovery or Nat Geo recently too) Kuklinski? Easy watch, not sure how close it was to the actual events, but worth a look
 
Olympus has Fallen; typical action film where 1 man can take on an army and win, at around 2 hours, a bit long for this genre IMO, but still, shooting, fighting, explosions, secret weapons....

Iceman is a good movie. Michael Shannon is very good at portraying Kuklinksi, a family man who kills without compunction or remorse.
 
Olympus has fallen is a throwback to completely over the top movies. Park your brain somewhere before watching it. It is a movie for a rainy day when you're sick at home. Any suggestion you're operating more firing synapses than required for existence will have you groaning and developing a migraine at the stupidity in the plot.

Anyone remember the last time Affleck played a superhero? How fuckin' shit was that?
 
Just watched World War Z. Think a mixture of I am Legend + 28 Days Later. I don't know who wrote the screenplay, but it's not the worst zombie movie around. Worth a watch.

I actually liked Affleck as Daredevil, the movie was bad but not because of his performance.
 
People can get better at acting, and I think Affleck has. He was very, very good in Argo and the movies he has directed have been outstanding. Also this is Batman, FFS, it's not Hamlet. The hard part of the role is Bruce Wayne, and does anyone thing he can't play a smarmy billionaire playboy?
 
The interesting part of that news is the implication they are doing a Dark Knight Returns type story.

Why don't you go and watch Good Will Hunting and Chasing Amy of the early stuff? You're just looking for reasons to complain.

Nepia, for every Good Will Hunting, Chasing Amy, Gone Baby Gone, Argo etc the simple counter is Pearl Harbour. That was so Barry White it would take a truckload of Argos to counter it. And complain? Well yes of course, I am British you know.
