    @antipodean

    I agree. It was a backstory that is integral to understanding the whole Westworld plot.

    One episode into Siren.

    Small town in the US has a few mermaid sightings. Looks pretty promising so far and is about the only recent show that the mrs and I both enjoy.

    Rena Owen is in it playing ( I'm assuming ) a native American or Eskimo with a kiwi as accent. I half expect her to tell everyone to cook their own fucken eggs any second. It also stars a chick who got her gears off in GOT. Google Eline Powell and add the word 'nude'.

    You're welcome.

    I don't get the appeal of mermaids. Sure, they have the funbags out all the time but all those scales from the waist down remove any sexual fantasy.

    Will have a gawk though (I trust Rena stays covered?)

    started the latest (last?) season of The Americans.

    Such a great show! Opening scene (to the tune of Don't Dream it's Over) was pretty good as it bought you up to speed and ep 1 looks to be setting the scene for where this season is heading.

    Daughter seems to have grown up since last season too...

    This is not the kind of statement a bloke in his 40s should be comfortable making.

    @mn5 she is 20 in RL, Just plays a kid, doesn't seem the whiny mopey kid she has always and given what her character is doing now.

    If you watched the show youd realise it wasn't a gutterball comment.

    I tried but it didn't have enough Zombies, Mermaids, Pirates, Giants, Dragons or creepy quiet blokes with Mum fetishes

    @mn5 with some of what you watch, you should give this a crack:

    Carter - An actor returns home after a public meltdown. Partnering with his police detective friend, he tries to use his acting experience to solve real crimes.

    Tried it. Got bored very quickly.

    Added it to my watch list this week
    Looks another Making a Murderer, The Keepers ( highly recommend this series)?

    It’s a compilation of documentaries made at various times over the case and the trials.

    Don’t look up anything on google before watching or you’ll read a theory that could ruin the watching.

    :::

    Look up the owl theory. Basically it was neither the husband or just a fall. Apparently it’s common that these fairly large owls can get inside houses at night and will swoop at people in panic. The head injuries are consistent with talons and there was feather found in her hair.

    Just realised you said 'a while ago'. The completion episodes were only released last week I think. You may want to check if you've seen it all. This Netflix release pulls together all three 'sets'.

    As a non spoiler comment, this series is worth watching if only to see the most vicious thin mouthed bitch ever to grace the small screen (the assistant DA)
