Raekwon plays in Wellington tonight. Couldn't get my pass but at least I saw Ghostface when he came thorough!
How was Tony Starks? Saw him last year, and it was one of the most disappointing HopHip gigs I've ever seen.
Totally upstaged by the random (?) crowd-bitch who joined him to do Method Man's verses for Protect Ya Neck. -
Have seen some amazing crowd performances of those verses! And some shockers too

I may have mentioned in the past how much i hate Zombies by the Cranberries.
Well, someone's done a cover, and it's the worst fucking thing you've ever heard. Some shit band called Bad Wolves, and they can't try much harder.
Think in the vein of those shit "metal" bands of the early 2000s, like Staind. It's fucking awful.
Makes the original sound like "The Day I Tried to Live" in comparison
I don't think I've ever agreed with you more. I think it was made even worse by Rog and the rest of the punchable morning rumble wanking on about it.
In other news I've started to truly hate QOTSA. Overplayed, empty, shit rock.
To finish on a positive I have to say that THIS is a great track. What an awesome replacement for Scott Welland.

This old mix from MW and AOR Disco is really ace for country boogie.
Great version of Honky Red to start off.

Russian Christian hip hop.

After old mate MN5 called them a crap band last week, i found myself listening to Def Leppard's Hysteria a lot over the past few days.
IMO Hysteria is a great rock record. It's not what you would call timeless, it's very much of it's time, but the production and song writing are absolutely top class (heights the band didn't hit earlier, or afterwards). It's packed with huge tracks, and it's ridiculously easy to sing along to (despite being out of the vocal range of basically all of us).
Just read up on it, it's ridiculously successful. #1 everywhere. 51st best selling album of all time, and sits equal with Born in The USA for most weeks in the Top 40 in the 80s.

Put Nov in your calendar @mariner4life for the Def Leppard Hysteria tour where the album will be played in its entirety. 30th Anniversary last year. I was actually watching a doco on the making of the album last week and you appreciate how anal the band and Mutt Lange was to get the exact sound they wanted.
I'm more a fan of Pyromania myself but Hysteria has some great songs too.
