@duluth and unlike many other squads that were given a good week or two off, the Blues have trained through. I do wonder if the players are tired rather than refreshed. Winners get time off, losers have to keep chugging.

Field B

NZ Vikings v North Harbour
Auckland v NZ Vikings
Auckland v North Harbour

Game format:

6.30pm NZ Vikings v North Harbour - 30 minutes
7.10pm NZ Vikings v Auckland - 30 minutes
7.50pm NZ Vikings v Blues - 30 minutes

Auckland 7 - 0 over the Northland XV. A lot of scrums in that one. Auckland No. 8 took it ahead pretty well from the back of the scrum.

Kaino equals Tony Woodcock’s mark of 137 caps for the Blues in his last game on his beloved Eden Park against the Reds, the team that he made his Super Rugby debut 15 years ago.
