Fuck ireland are boring. It's like unlimited tackle rugby league.

AFL is a false comparison because a football is never kicked to optimise hang time for a contest with opponents coming from opposite directions.

Typically both contestants travel in the same direction and the ball has a different flight arc

My feed is Irish commentary and it's the most biased I have ever heard. It makes a Tahs v Reds clash with Kearns and Mardo look civilised. Quinnel and someone. Nauseating.

Problem was that on first viewing it looked like he'd grabbed the Paddy but it was just his arm dropping down. They should have realised that but they're morons.

That's an ironic call from the French ref.

I wonder if it was in the 79th minute rather than the 39th minute whether that call would have been made?

That was the issue last time. Ref didn't have the balls to make a decision that would decide the test.

@antipodean then you really need to listen to the Aussie comms again. Kearns basically just called the ref out for making the offside call at the end of the half because he thought he couldn’t have actually seen it himself😳

Man, if you think choosing who you want to win is Hobsons Choice, what about the commentary. I can only get the Irish one but I imagine it as equally as awful as Kearns and co.

It's not only rabidly one-eyed. The levels of excitement from more than one pass go off the scale and the comments themselves are behind the play.

I would love to have the Irish comms... I've got a slight leaning towards wanting Aus to win, but fuck it's hard to maintain while listening to these Ocker fluffybunnies.
Gutted with Rugbypass... they were just starting to eavesdrop in on the Ocker comm's "behind the scenes" discussion about some of the decisions, but then cut out.

It has to be said the Irish lack any creativity on attack. Is that a product of the players or the coach I wonder?

I've asked the Irish that very question. The other option is the coach is maximising the skill set of his players.

Fuck. Off. 3 mins of replays for a penalty for in the side. On the exact same spot as the penalty they already had.

The TMO has to go. Biggest blight on the game.

                                    Game for the taking,
I've committed to a bottle of Australian red to help the cause,
... but after the beers during NZ-France, needed some "half-time chips", so... potatoes vs Aus-red
Try seems to suggest I need to cut down on the taters, up the wine intake

Wasn't the ref playing advantage for an Aussie knock on there just prior to the PK?

Man the Aussies have the victim mentality down. Lead from the front by their coach and commentators. Lots of shaking heads and bemused looks whenever a call goes against them.
