Took the boy to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on IMAX in 3D.

Asked him what he thought of the movie afterwards and his response was: "that was absolutely AWESOME!!!".

Have to agree, but when it comes to Dinosaur movies I'm pretty easy to please. The Indoraptor was pretty badass, and we are all set for plenty of carnage in the next movie - bring it on!

Note for parents: overall not too scary, just some moderately intense/thriller type scenes later on in the dark with the Indoraptor. My boy is 5 and was fine, but he's a bit of a bit of a nut when it comes for Dinosaurs, I think he roots for the Dinosaur a lot of the time.

4.5 dead billionaires out of 5 epic Raptor battles.

I'm with your son there. The amount of times I want the 'heroes' to die a gruesome death only to be saved at the last minute infuriates me sometimes.

    Solo

Eminently watchable. A few things that always make you say "BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR FREAKING TECHNOLOGY!" and whatnot, but the family and I thought it was great.

    Fury

Cruising "My List" on Netflix for shit I hadn't watched yet.

Bloody good movie. Who knew Shia LeBouf could act?

Only thing I would have changed: mount that 50 cal in a crossfire and fuck up that SS column.

4.5 tactical errors out of 5 murdered krauts.

    War Machine

Still going on the Netflix list with the second Brad Pitt movie.

I though his portrayal of an aging general was great, and how happy was Meg Tilly to play his wife?

Points you in some good direction as to the politics and pointlessness of that particular conflict, as well as giving some insight on the absolute certainty that the US military engenders in itself at the top levels, while the ground pounders have to make the really tough decisions.

4 star general out of 5.

It seems over the top until you look up what Audie Murphy did , if anything they toned it down .

@jegga sometimes you disengage the give-a-fuck drive and go for it. If they'd had something like flechette ammo back then the first shot would have been fucking messy indeed

7 Days in Entebbe - Daniel Bruhl, Rosamund Pike

based on the true story of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris, by German revolutionists and Palestinians and the subsequent rescue by the Isralis.

Could have been better, no real tension or anything, decent story not told very well.

2.75 hijackers out of 5 dead ones.

Yet another remake. I saw the original TV movie about this many years ago.

Raid on Entebbe (1976) ⭐ 6.7 | Action, Drama, History

Raid on Entebbe (1976) ⭐ 6.7 | Action, Drama, History

    2h 25m | Not Rated

I didn't know another movie about this incident was also made in 1976.

@bovidae looking at the 'people who liked this might also like' titles, there is not only the one i watched, that one, but Live or Die in Entebbe, Operation Thunderbolt (movie and a TV Movie by this name) and Victory at Entebbe - so 6 movies about it.

I remember when I worked in radio getting free tickets to Jack Reacher. I went with a bunch of mates and she bent over for a great cleavage shot, one of my mates yelled 'fucken hell, tits on that' really loudly....i think the entire cinema cracked up.....brilliant.

Best part of the movie which was otherwise crap.

I watched a bunch of other movies with her in it after seeing her in that. Massively disappointed.
