So, I'm on a not great movie run at the moment - saw Sicario 2 last night.
I enjoyed it but the leap from the first Sicario to this one has plenty of plot holes, and the focus on other characters detracts from the main cast.

The trailer makes you believe the movie will unfold in a certain way (i.e., a battle between Alejandro and Graver), when it doesn't.
As you say, the ending sets up the third installment of the trilogy but if little Miguel is to be a Sicario he might want to be a better shot.

Finally saw a good movie - The Incredibles 2. Great fun. Superhero comedy movie, just animated instead of live action. The best bit is a super powered baby having a fight with a raccoon.
I was going to re-watch the first one before going to see this one but made a snap decision to go while at dinner - but you don't really need to have seen the first one to watch this one.
The story is predictable, but that doesn't really matter as it's all done so well.
4 multiplying babies out of 5 g-rated Samuel L Jacksons.

@antipodean I enjoyed that too , Katherine Hahn was pretty funny too. She’s great at playing crazy characters, the lawn scene with the two mums and Olyphsnts “ oh, you didn’t know about this?” Deadpan response was my favourite.

@jegga @antipodean I saw that movie, I know that I liked it, but I can't really remember a thing about it. I didn't even remember that Rose Byrne was in it - or Mrs Coach for that matter. It is strange, maybe I was half asleep when I watched it.

I liked it. A great return to form for old mate Bruce.
Woulda sucked if Liam Neeson or John Travolta had sleepwalked through it though.

Ant-Man And The Wasp
Paul Rudd is a funny bastard, and the writing and direction is great as well. Evangeline Lily is hot, and the suit fits her well.
Throw in some superb interplay with Michaels Douglas and Pena, Randall Park, and the girl who plays his daughter (Abby Ryder Forston), and you've got a winner. Felt that the "bad" character was a little cardboard cutout tho. Having seen them in a series on Netflix, I wasn't surprised.
Great entertainment, and a spooky foreshadowing.

Have been a right movie slut of late. Amusingly while we were away in melbs. Had been planning to catch up on avengers in particular so I can check out infinity wars with the back stories etc

Justice leagueThought Pacific rim 2 was better. Dude from star wars was way better in this movie imo. Loved my voltron and sci-fi so it was a fun watch.
Black panther... umm visually cool. Good dialogue and humor, but pretty meh in terms of key character motivation imo. Bad dude was more charismatic but had a really limited character/story... and he won the jacked stakes!! I did like the lead but felt he was all angst, even if he did make the right call/s about how his cousin was treated. Thought civil war was way better.

Avengers civil war was cool. Bit of a stiffy about all the characters involved. Will be fully chubbed for infinity wars!!
Justice league was cool. Not challenging any of the avengers series, but almost on par with black panther. A question... when you take seaman out of the sea he's just superstrong and a good fighter? Loved flash and wonder women continues to be a badass and smoking hot.
