    Man this was a pleasant surprise. After 10 days in a flooded cave I thought for sure they'd be toast. Tough little buggers

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news/article.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=12082498

    In a longer version of the video, when the English diver reaches them and starts talking the wee fella on the right says to his mate, in Thai, "Fuck what, have we gone so far in we're under England?!"

    At one point in the video they all stand up because one of the boys sess the camera and says "they're taking a photo, quick stand up, photo"

    And when the English speaking kid says eat eat eat, he's prompted by his mate saying "tell him I'm fucking hungry!"

    funny little feckers

    @siam

    They are saying now it may take months to get them out. They may have to teach them to dive before they can get them out. Madness.

    I haven't read much about this but how did they get in there in the first place?

    Walked, then it flooded as it's monsoon season. For another four months until it'll stop raining enough to mostly walk out. They're 2-3 km into the cave (WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE COACH THINKING?) and a km down

    @mooshld apparently many cant even swim.

    I expect some scriptwriters are furiously getting something together as the story unfolds.

    A sign of the times that now they have given them food, water and supplies, the next thing required is deemed to be a fibre optic internet cable!!

    @canefan There were so many things in that article that made me happy, perversely.
    I'm going to have to stick with the last one that summed it up, sorta...

    I wonder if those Lions, now with a taste for Humans will now actively seek out Human meat, like the Tsavo Man-Eaters from the Ghost in the Darkness Movie.

    No one will lose any sleep if poachers are gettign eaten regularly.
