Not impressed Kurt
i know it fits in with the whole show, but i am still pissed they killed her off.

I wanted Gemma dead 2 weeks ago, now i hope Jax does it, and i reckon he will. He'll find out she "okayed" JT's death, he'll find out about Tara, and he'll kill her. And i'll cheer, long and loud.

Next season is going to be bloody. At the halfway point last night i had decided the only way the show could possibly end was them all to die. Now? I still think it's going to head that way, but Jax will fuck off with the boys.

Fuck Juice.

I am also unimpressed with the offing of the Sheriff. Not cool. Now that Nero is a gang banger again, we're left with a show full of detestable characters. Oh, and bobby.
SOA
The sherrif killing would have just been fitted in as he hadn't signed for next season (has a major role elsewhere).

It looks to me like the whole story has become Gemma's as much as Jax's (not surprising seeing as she's Sutter's missus).

I can see a messy scene in the future with Wayne trying to save Gemma who is desperately reaching out to Nero who is fighting with Jax but having conscience issues. Then Jax finally realises his mother is actually the root of all evil not everyone else that has died to the point of this revelation.

Then again, maybe Jax and Nero realise their latent homosexuality and move off to a ranch near Brokeback Mountain to raise their children leaving Gemma to live out her days wiping Wayne's ass.

PS Juice is a fucking screwup
SOA
WTF!! Where do you start?

I said it in another spoiler/post, Gemma is Kurt's wife, she will never get her come uppance, never!

I reckon despite the way she will fight and do anything to save her family, she will lose everything and be left at the end of the next series alive, but completely alone, with Jax either dead or split with the kids (assuming he doesnt go to Jail, I mean what incentive is there now)

Although he is in a bit of a pickle right now.

Yeah rough with NEro heading over to the dark side, he has replaced Opie as the good in amongst all the sh!t.

Not really sure what they will do with the final series (especially if Jax ends up in Jail) but obviously all hell is gonna break loose in Oakland with gang wars and the Sons are gonna be stuck in the middle.

Juice is a pussy, I used to like him but his character has turned into a Pussy, and TBH I have no idea how he thinks cleaning up that scene will play out, not to mention killing the Sheriff. Does he think things will get pinned on Jax freeing him up outside or will he take the rap meaning Jax will kill him, and he finally gets to be dead?

I wonder if it will come out that Gemma killed Tara, and if so, what will Uncer do, maybe she will die at his hand (given that would be the most surprising)

Assume if Jax goes to prison, and with Tara dead, Wendy will end up with the kids as that was what the will stated wasnt it?
Veep is worth a look. Especially the 2nd season. It's very light weight and polished, but entertaining enough.

So, Homeland
yay, Brody's dead. I wasn't sure they were going to go with it, but was happy they did.

But a suspicisiously white woman climbs up a fence amidst some angried up Persians, and starts yelling in English with an American accent, and isn't torn apart by the crowd? fucking bullshit. What is she, fucking invisible?

It's all wrapped up, the show is done. Saul is retired, Carey some how still has a job, and has been promoted, Brody is dead. We're done here.

But no, there is a 4th season. How the fuck are they going to pull that off? Hopefully, with Brody dead, then we don't ahve to see his family again, and the whole series is Quinn straight up murdering bad guys, but being conflicted about it.

Season 3 sucked.

Thank God Brody is dead, they really couldn't go anywhere more with him. This season did suck, at least the last few episodes were a little more entertaining after they sped it up. But Carrie getting a Station Chief job, running their biggest asset? Yeah right!. She is mental, not to mention a loose cannon who does whatever she wants often putting the ops and people at risk. She should be shit canned, not promoted.

As for the family, Ma Brody and annoying daughter actresses both didn't get their contracts renewed, so (hopefully) we see nothing more of them. I hope they make it more like season one, with some deep cover operatives running around Iran, Iraq, Afganistan etc. And Quinn badassing it up.
Just grabbed Banshee season one, and The Fall to watch over the holiday travel period. Either any good? I also have Masters of Sex (watched the first episode when it aired, but havn't had time for the rest). And of course the Downton Abbey Xmas Special (shut up!) and Series 3 of Sherlock starts on Jan 1st as well.

Banshee is enjoyable, plenty of BS, but a fun watch.

I liked The Fall, Gillian is still rather tidy, like most there are some plot holes, but for the most part was a good watch, and series isnt too long either.

I have decided not to watch the most recent series of Downton, annoys me how some shows kill someone to create drama.

Yeah I saw they had finally put a date in the S3 slot for Sherlock, be great to see how they do that!

i'm going to watch the entire "Breaking Bad" over the holiday dead period. the internet tells me it's the greatest thing in the history of the world ever, so i have unrealistically high expectations.

Is Homeland worth watching?

I was getting a bit over it at the end of last season (given ultimately it shoulda just been a single season series) and looking at some comments around this season...

The problem with the latest series was in order to make the timeframe of the setup of the main story slightly believable they padded out about the first five eps with boring shit about the whiny daughter. The rest of it was ok but my advice would be to fast forward every part of the daughters story except when Brody meets her again.

Just read an interesting story about Homeland from the producers. It sounds like it was the networks insistence that they drag out the Brody story line and they originally wanted it to finish in season one (or at least two).
Pretty much looked that way.

Homeland
Apart from the one twist the whole season made very little sense. It was disjoint and just a whole bunch of stories that went nowhere. Contrived to get to the ending with a weak plot and to many characters of convenience.

The family they are having to live with the consequences of Brodies choices. Except only the daughter is smart enough to change her name and shift. Then it goes nowhere.

There is a hell hole in Venezuela with loads of dodgy characters, that story line also goes no where.

Oh Quinn he is all conflicted after killing a kid, but the rest of the series he only shows up in top level meetings and to wound Carrie. Then his story goes nowhere.

The Iranian girl working at the CIA, gets top level clearance ohh and what a coincidence her uncle is an underground opposition figure in Iran. Then her story goes nowhere.

Then finally Brodie comes back, Carrie spends 3 episodes trying to make sure he can get in and out alive; Then when Dar Adal sacrifices Brodie to make Javadis position stronger Carrie who is a nut job at the best of times is happy to go back and work under him. Happy to forgive Saul? Just gets on with being pregnant but then at the last minute realises that having a kid can be hard work. Whatever that was the laziest ending I have ever seen. Just set up a 4th season and keep the cash coming in!!

So, I finally got round to watching Homeland and SOA - I've been watching Ray Donovan so have put the two of them off ... it's a bit of a worry that I couldn't even be bothered to watch them straight away. TBH, I'm a bit worried - is the era of great TV drama already over? Are we now in an era of only just goodish stuff?

Homeland
I've never really been annoyed by the daughter so this series wasn't as bad for me as any of you but FFS it ended in the worst possible space. Carrie still in the CIA - agree with everyone else it is f-ing stupid. Saul not in the CIA, great one of the two watchable characters left (with Quinn) is now gone. I wonder if Patinkin has quit the show as he never stays with shows very long.

Agree with Moosh re: how disjointed the show is. Where was the Iranian girl in the last episode? Why have the family involved if the ramifications of Brodie's death on/for them is not even going to paid lip service to?
SOA
Agreew with most posts above. This seemed to me a bit like Sutter was saying f-you to everyone who gave him shit about not killing Clay all these years. This year had some good parts but was ruined by the whole ... I loved seeing the Irish get their beans as one of the good parts. Nero is (was) a great character. I think I might root for him over the Sons next year if the set up for next series plays out as suggested in this episode.

Crucial: I don't even like Bobby ....
Ray Donovan
7 episodes in and I'm really enjoying this show. Was not what I was expecting for a start ... was told it was a Hollywood fixer show like House of Lies. I'm enjpying seeing how the backstory unfolds. I think that Voight is hamming it up like crazy though. No doubt he's getting bouquets from critics but he's only just this side of me wanting to turn off in each scene. Liev Schreiber is pretty believable as a bad ass for an actor, he looks more physical than most do.

And for anyone who thinks that the daughter on Homeland is annoying spend a few minutes watching the daughter on this show you'll want to stab your eyes and ears out.

TBF, I just like Boston themed shows ... even when they're set in LA.
After Ray Donovan I may finally get around to watching the rest of Deadwood - the last of the 'great' TV dramas of the last decade I haven't finished yet.
