Watched Logan Lucky last night. I was very entertained, and actually laughed out loud a few times. Pretty fun little movie.
It's not without its flaws, but if you want to chuck something on that's light hearted, you could do waaaay worse than this.
How did they get such a gun cast?
3.5 redneck stereotypes out of 5 well written Game of Thrones jokes.

Beirut: Jon Hamm and Rosmund Pike in a movie set in Beirut not long before the Israeli’s rolled in to clean out the PLO in the early 80s. Hamm is a negotiated who is called back to Lebanon after a tragedy there 10 years earlier. He has to negotiate with a Palestinian splinter group to try and retrieve a kidnapped CIA agent. Pretty decent film that takes a shot at everybody involved, the Americans, the Israelis, the Lebanese factions, the Palestinian factions, Arafat etc.
Mission Impossible: Just a good, well made action film. It’s kind of like a slightly more grounded Fast and the Furious. Good popcorn movie. Henry Cavill's mo was good, much better than his non mo is Justice League.

Upcoming Laurel and Hardy biopic
Steve Coogan as Stan Laurel. That works.
Also John C Reilly put on a bit of weight to play Oliver Hardy
I'm loathe to ask this but is that Actually Laurel and Hardy or Coogan and Reilly? If the later, it is a remarkable likeness
are... are you serious?
Sadly yes, I thought it was a 'coloured up' photo of the Original two

A Prayer before dawn
Based on the true story of a British guy BIlly Moore (played by Joe Cole, one of the Peaky Blinders) who gets put in a brutal Thai Prison, he ends up getting involved in the Prison boxing team.
Gripping watch, aside from one brutal prison rape scene.
4 fuck being in that prison out of 5 lady boys

It's not a real prison movie without a rape scene. Someone even had a go at Clint in Escape from Alcatraz.

Not new, but a classic. Home sick yesterday, and spent the entire afternoon on the couch watching "JFK".
Holy shit that movie is brilliant. Amazing cast; great score; and the screenplay is unreal.
3.5 hours of a conspiracy theory, and it's riveting. The pieces (that would these days be an obnoxious Youtube video) are brilliantly put together. Costner's monologue summation that must be damn near 40 minutes is fucking great.
If you haven't seen it for a while, watch it again. I got to the end thinking "only 11 years until the official documents get released"
5 patsies out of 5 magic bullets

@mariner4life I watched it just recently. Oliver Stone is a top grade conspiracy theorist. It's a great cast too.
Also tried to re-watch Any Given Sunday by Stone recently - damn, it is almost unwatchable. I remember it being awesome with cool US football scenes but it's not cool and the football scenes are pretty shit.

Elizabeth Berkeley’s tits are pretty watchable. Rest of the movie is pretty meh apart from the Pacino rant.
I like JFK for Costner and Bacons acting , I liked the movie so much when it came out that I tracked down the book which bares only a passing resemblance to the movie. The author plays the guy that interviews Jack Ruby in his cell .
Stone conspiracies are all over the place and hard to follow. -

Um ok. The scene where LBJ says “get me elected and I’ll give you your war” when JFK was already ramping up American involvement?
I saw an interview with Bacon and he said Stone insisted on him spending time with the person he played in the movie . That apparently meant spending Saturday night with him in New Orleans gay bdsm clubs.

@jegga look, i know you couldn't follow it because of the distinct lack of tits, but here's a real quick summation
it's. a. movie.
I. Know . That.
It was a collection of scenes involving some fantastic acting without a coherent plot.
Plus it had no tits in it.
Also the Doors has aged badly too and it has tits in it.
