White House down. Mindless fun. Some of the inaccuracies in the military stuff gave me the shits. But whatever, I enjoyed it

Though it was basically Die Hard.

Do not watch Olympus Has Fallen ... it makes White House Down look it's footage from an embedded cameraman.
-

I also like it for the fact that Ian Mune can't act. It's like he's some bloke they've pulled off the street and asked him to do the movie. You can see that Sam Neil is going somewhere though. Rawiri Paratene also has a role as a young soldier IIRC.

It would be good if someone made an update with actual production values.

I watched About Time last night, the latest rom com by Richard Curtis. Disclaimer - I only watched it because the extremely hot chick from Wolf of Wall Street was in it. Unfortunately she wasn't in it much. But, I quite enjoyed the movie TBH. The main character has the ability to time travel backwards within his life time ... but if he has children and travels back before their birth he'll mess with the timeline (another sperm may win the race and the kids may be different). Jegga - Rachel McAdams is in it and she is her usual loveable self but fortunately (for me) and unfortunately (for you) she doesn't reveal her pale breasts. M4L - zero breasts, sorry.

I won't be watching anything that had the stench of Richard Curtis on it anytime soon I hope. Sounds like the time travellers wife would be a better bet .

I saw seven psychopaths the other night and enjoyed it, Sam Rockwell really is the man when it comes to playing unhinged characters. -

Bad GRanpa - pretty much what I expected, cringe-induced laughs.

No way - that is an awful excuse for a story and is really a bit troubling. Why the hatred of Richard Curtis? Is he a commie? ;)
-

You're obviously a fair bit more tolerant than me, mrs Jegga reckons I'm slowly turning into Red from that 70s show. Dawn French mugging at the camera is wasted on me as was Bridget jones diary , love actually and anything with Rhys Darby in it and I find mr bean excruciating. Maybe she's right. -

I dont really go for anything that has Hugh Grant in it...so ticks off most on your list too!

BTW, just found out he has 2 middle names, one of which is Mungo, maybe I have mis-judged him, surely anyone with the name MUngo must be awesome!?
-

Do you watch the middle ? The parents named their son Brick in the vain hope he might turn out be cool, maybe his parents thought along the same lines? I think Nepia actually met him so maybe he can confirm whether or not he's a stuttering twat with a face you'd never get tired of punching in person?
-

He's not a stuttering twat in person ... he was with Liz Hurley at the time.

As for Curtis' output I like a bunch of it - Four Weddings and a Funeral is a good movie the others are less good but watchable (Bridget Jones excepted) and Vicar of Dibly is quite funny. Plus, anything he has done it better than The Time Travellers Wife IMHO (the fact I have seen it shows you I'll watch anything once - to my eternal regret on occasion) and Love Actually had some decent totty in it. And he did Blackadder ....
-

I mean, it's like there's any decent comedians/comediennes in england so why not throw the fat completely unfunny bird a comedy award and every other show.
