Masters of Sex: So I'm halfway through and this show is really not living up to the hype for me. I'm really finding it a slog. Caplan and Sheen just annoy me and I like them both usually. Oh well, you can't like them all I guess.

Good show, it should be starting again soon. Much like Masters of Sex I don't get the Margo Martindale love either - don't get me wrong, I think she's good at what she does, but not the legend she's portrayed to be since playing Mags in Justified. But then again, I have figured out why I may not like that role so much - as it's another one of these particular and deliberate villains that are popping up all the time now that I can't stand ... maybe she was the first and deserves the credit?

Just saw the first 2 episodes of Hannibal. Pretty good. Really like Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal. They'll obviously have to alter his back story. Mads is too young to have been around during WW2.

I'm a bit late to the party, but i have started watching "Vikings". First 2 episodes are very watchable (despite the tasty wife not getting her viking tits out, for the lads like) so i'll be continuing this. Series 2 due this year.

Series 2 of "The Bridge" due soon too.

MCConnaghy looks scrawny as, but like someone said, he woulda have to shelled the weight for Dallas Buyers Club; lets just say I have found a few womens magazines on the toilet floor from time to time and had him in them, the dude is usually in top shape and seems a right health nut, but man does he chainsmoke in this! Be hard to 'fake' that wouldnt it as a non-smoker or an ex-smoker?

Looks like a good year for plonking my arse in front of the TV.

Watched the first two episodes of True Detective and I'm hooked. The acting, writing, directing and art are superb.

Hannibal is growing on me and it's getting better with each episode.

First series? Give it a few more eps and you'll get into the groove. It's pulp TV with heaps of sex, violence and cartoon characters. Second series has started and it doesn't let up.

I must say I was bloody disappointed that the sex scene with the one extremely hot chick IMHO (the 'Native American' girl) was the only bloody one we didn't see tits and arse in! Grrrr.

Also, I was hoping someone would have replied to my complaining about Masters of Sex to say it gets heaps better so I'll continue watching but no one did! Does anyone recommend I keep watching.

The Shield is also in a so-so place for me to, I love the show, but find Glenn Close nearly unwatchable.

The opening scene of S2E2 was pretty full on soft porn though. That Amish chick would sure melt an ice cube.

True! But it appears the Native American has some kind of no nudity clause in her contract. :(

Most impressed with the large breast-ages in ep 2 of True Detective.

Been watching a US detective series called Awake. Interesting premise: LA cop has a car crash with his wife and son and then wakes up to find his son has died. But then when he goes to sleep he wakes up in another reality where it's his wife that's died. He shifts between the two realities every time he goes to sleep. He's also sent to a shrink to discuss his problems - both tell him "you are not dreaming with me" and he replies "that's what the other shrink said".

So which reality is real? Who knows? But there is crossover in his cases in the form of obscure clues and hints that lead him to solve murders.

It's quite enjoyable and there's a series long back story behind the basic plot, which keeps the interest simmering.

Not sure if there's a second series.

The bad dude is by far the best thing about this.

I thought it was OK even if you could see the ending coming from way back.

Far to arty farty at times.

As a comparison with a similar show. If you could take the first series (well the first two really so you had the conclusion) of 'The Killing' and condense it, it would shit all over this, even if I did prefer the NZ scenery to the constant rain in Seattle.

3 episodes into Banshee S2 and I've decided it's gone rather shit. It's all over the show and I struggle to retain interest for the full 50 minutes. FFS, they're making Anthony Starr the worst actor in the world because every second scene he just has to stand there looking angry, confused, or stupid. The new mysteries should be interesting but they're not and the building up to an 'incest' storyline just seems to be doing something to shock rather than following an actual narrative. Waiting for the next bit of nudity is not a way to watch a show. It may take the Native American bird to get naked to keep me watching.

Hopefully it can get back to the stupid-ish fun it was last year.

True Detective is pretty damn good. As is Woody's side piece nude scene.

I finished the second season of The Bridge (Bron/Broen). It was pretty good, and they set up a very interesting third season.

Justified is still in the groove, enjoying it and the new Florida hillbillies.

Blacklist starting on TV3 tonight, I do a quick search on the real IMDB and contrary to the fake IMDB which has it rated over 8/10, turns out its a bit shit!

Won't bother, thank you TSF 🙂
