        It's going fast! Try Tom Parsons off a line-out drive. We're leading now: 36 - 33

            FT: Magpies 41 - 33 Manawatu

So indeed, the bench with our SR players must have made the difference. Great to get another win, although we leaked too many tries at the beginning of the first half.

Edit: it also looks like Falcon needs to work on his goal kicking. Seven tries, 3 conversions. (That's assuming he played 80 minutes).

There is another Mitre10 Cup Competition running in conjunction with the on the field one. That's the Tipping Contpetition run by the Silver Fern's KiwiPie. Teams consist of six tippers with the top five score from each week counting. At this stage the Bay have five tippers in the lineup and still need one other person to commit to upholding the honour of the Bay.
Surely there must be someone out there to join Stockcar86, Stargazer, Skudderstep, Paj and yours truly in mounting a full strength squad in our attempt to dethrone the Wai-Bush outfit that has swept all before them for too long now.

Don't be shy, here's the link needed to get your tips in, hopefully by 7.34pm tonight, but if not by then still tip away and the remaining games will all still be counted!

A good start in the Sliver Fern Tipping with a reasonable win over the combined Counties-Waikato outfit but we are still undermanned and really need another tipper to fill out our squad. Any HB aligned person out there please come out and join in with Sotckcar86, Stargazer, Higgins, Clara and PAJ as we will probably need to be 6 strong as we take on the Wellington outfit this round. Tips in by 7.34pm on Thursday night (NZ time) please. This link should take you to where you need to go https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BoKFSRpmTmlO-VdhnxMtoNDHTPtODtCGwgXqabqZ3OM/viewform?edit_requested=true

Current state of the field at McLean Park. I hope there will be a good crowd on Sunday.

@hooroo Yeah, I thought so, too. I really hope we now have a great quality pitch and can get some international rugby and cricket matches back in Napier, soon. Not sure whether ABs tests have already been allocated for the next few years ...

I hope the Canes will be back, too, although I've heard rumours that they'll play a game in that shithole of the Poo next season.

I'm in. Also am expecting another old tipper from a few years back to turn up to watch the game here tonight. Might see if I can convince them into sharpening their pencil again to get our numbers up but it's really cold in Wgtn at the moment so they might not drag themselves out in the chill.

Gosh, that looks to be a side that would not have too many of the Six Nations teams losing much sleep over. I see they have got a fixture list of USA, Georgia and Spain so maybe they picked their team accordingly.
