@canes4life Yeah, I hope the Magpies sign him. We've some very good up and coming frontrowers at the moment in Farrell (LH), Devery (hooker), Kereru-Symes (hooker), Rakete-Stones (TH), Tavita-Metcalfe (TH) and maybe in future Tyrone Thompson (hooker) and Teddy (TH). We need them because Ash Dixon and Ben May are not the youngest anymore.

Strong competition between these lads the coming years if they stay in the Bay. Probably won't be able to sign them all.

Laban is correct: very one-side game. Napier dominating.

Half time: Napier BHS 17 v 0 Christchurch BHS

@stargazer From a Cane perspective, we need to keep guys like Farrell and Teddy. Just look at how important Owen Franks is to the Crusaders. If they can develop into strong props then we could be set for a long time.

@canes4life They also need a future prospect like Tyrone Thompson. The Canes need to develop good hookers, too. Not sure how long Coles is going to last.

43rd minute: try to the CBHS hooker. Cullen Moody converts.

Lol St Peters win another game by a point. They love a close win.

@kiwimurph Solely based on today's games, I can't see them beat Napier.

@stargazer I think just making the national top 4 final would well surpass their wildest expectations this year!

Bit of scuffle after another Napier try.

56th minute: I think Sheridan scored, but it could have been Teddy. Converted by Keegan Christian-Goss.

61st minute: try from the CBHS TH prop Smith (?). Bit sloppy defence from Napier. Not converted.

    24 - 12 Napier

@stargazer They need a good hooker behind Aumua and Riccitelli. James O'Reilly doesn't cut it for me.

Scuffle, Chch boys getting frustrated and their reserve hooker is sent off with a red card for punching.

Hamilton is not a big team and got outmuscled by St Peters in the 2nd half and that resulted in turnovers and handling errors. Losing Keogh early didn't help as he is their main ball-carrier. A better kicking game by St Peters too.

    Congrats St Peters.

Jesus, St. Peters with nerves of steel. How many close games have they won on the trot now? 4?

The final should be fairly even, both teams have similar strengths in the forwards.
