It's usually the 'villian' I have problems with, and not because they have issues, but because they're of a deliberate type. They're all structured, and well spoken, and specific ... until they go off. It seems to be a new 'type' on TV that I'm going to have to live with though.

Loving season 5 of The Shield despite the fact that Forest Whittaker is just doing a version of it.

Must watch that tonight too...

Finished the Mini-series Hatfields and McCoys, (Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Tom Berenger) - was pretty good, based (loosely I expect) on a real feud between the 2 families in the 1800's.

That was unexpected and while I thought it made for good TV I'm unsure if it fits with the (established so far) tone of the show.

Sheesh, you're a bit late, it's been going for about 3 seasons. Good lightweight show, some might not like it due to its lightness but we can't watch True Detective style shows all the time.

haha, I love Walking Dead, and best bit is it airs basically the same day as the US, well done TV2 (and not at 2230 like last season)

Not a big comic/graphic novel person, but my brother has been reading them and says for the most part the series is following it, but there are a few glaring differences, but he is enjoying them.

I've read the graphic novels don't mind the changes, the fact that everyone who dies turns into a walker is a pretty cool twist on the theme.
Series two was supposed to be a blackhawk down type tale of a bunch of soldiers trapped in Atlanta trying to fight their way out which would have been ducking awesome . Instead the cut the budget right back and stayed on the farm,

Michonne used to have two walkers with their arms and jaws cut off that she led on chains, they were her boyfriend and his best mate.

I've just finished watching the entire series of The Shield.

What an awesome show, it is definitely in my top echelon of shows. I think of the shows with a bad main character this shits all over Breaking Bad IMHO - I've put myself in some fans firing lines now but I truly believe it.

I think the acting was top class for a show that could have been a police procedural in many places.

I couldn't stand Kavanaugh's characterisation (as mentioned earlier) and was extremely pleased Glenn Close was only on for a season - is it weird that I can't stand her? Even so, the series' they were on were still great.

One thing I don't understand is:
Why, when he made his confession to ICE did Vic even mention that he murdered Terry? That case was always Vic's word against Shane's and Shane was on the run for trying to kill cops, including Vic, so would hardly be a credible witness. Also, why didn't he just omit Ronnie from any of the really bad stuff? That was the only thing that was a bit odd to me as it seemed out of character. Sucks to be Ronnie. Him and Lem were basically the two good guys on the Strike Team and met the worst end.
One thing I found funny is that there wasn't any consistency with the extras at the barn, so you'd get random detectives just appearing in the background.

I'm a bit sad now, I need a replacement show that will be as good.
