Saw Wolf of Wall Street last night. Shave an hour off and you'd have a great film. Was still entertaining but far too long. Scorcessi overindulging. Very good acting.

Lincoln: Excellent. Daniel Day Lewis GOAT. Nobody comes farking close.

Centurion - Fassbender, Olga Kurylenko, that Davos guy from GoT and Dominic West among others.

Good flick, though personally once I went across the river to kill some Picts who were chasing me I would have stolen/killed their horses as well. Stupid Eyeties

Edit: no tits from Kurylenko which must have pissed off her agent as I'm sure nudity is a contract requirement.

actually i quite like "Reloaded" it has some unreal sequences in it, and the storyline is still pretty cool (plus Monica Belucci). Revolutions was a let down though. Was always going to be hard to follow that first movie though, expectations were set.

In addition, I saw bits of the relatively new crime flick Mystery Road (another Aussie thing) the other night. Looks decent.

Was ok, just didnt really get going until the very end and story line was pretty simple, while also showing a glimpse of the darker side of life in the Outback towns?

Also watched Apocolypse Now (extended version >3 hours) a week or so back (over a couple of nights) and it stands up pretty well, barely recognised Harrison Ford in his brief scene!

Dallas Buyers Club - as with other comments, a pretty harrowing story, but McConaughey was pretty good in this. Amazing to think the lengths these actors do go to for some roles, and the effects are there to be seen in True Detective. Quite an eye-opener being reminded of the prejudices that were about over HIV when it became widespread and then how the FDA and I expect other similar agencies in other countries acted possibly irresponsibly (naively?) in regard to the drugs*, and I expect it probably still happens.

*I realise the movie may have exaggerated it, but I dont believe for a minute that stuff like that doesnt go on.

The Crash Reel. Very much worth a watch. A documentary about Kevin Pearce, one of the best snow boarders in the world who was set to challenge Shaun White at the 2010 Olympics. He suffered a traumatic brain injury training before the games, and the film is about his comeback from the accident. Riveting, and very hard to watch at times.
